Recently we read that Forest Grill is closed for lunch but they will do a “walk-in” lunch. After reading about this we decided to try the walk-in lunch. We called and found that the chef would serve a chef’s choice lunch and so we made a reservation. We arrived, the restaurant was dark but the door was open. We entered... More

Awesome very inventive food. Creative lunch n dinner menus. Sea bass and egg appetizer are to die for. Very friendly service. Ambience is a bit too corporate and formal. Nice and comfortable but sedate. The food more than makes up for it.

New menu, new look, new wine list, but the same solid food, prep and service. We went on a Saturday night with another couple. Our server was knowledgeable, and let us pace the dinner to suit our mood and conversation. WIne list was creative, with a nice collection of wines-by-the-glass. Chef Polcyn is famous for his charcuterie, and you shouldn't... More

I went on a Tuesday night at 6:00 and there were just a few other tables seated. I was able to find a parking spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is casual but nicely decorated. I had the farm egg for my appetizer. It was awesome. A soft boiled egg in fried onion straws... More

This is the second visit to the FG on business in the past few months and it was a very pleasant experience on both occasions. Decor is contemporary inviting with two walls of glass which overlook a relatively quiet side street just off Woodward Ave. The tables are nicely spaced and the noise level is quite low allowing for easy... We've been there twice...Lunch & Dinner, both times, with another couple (2 different ones). I remember very good Service, and Excellent originally prepared dishes, served in un uncrowded, open air tpe of setting....and Not Formal, but Casual. It was also Not Cheap either, but the other item is it's Location. It is NOT in the midst of that "pain in... More

Creative from scratch food. The chef is committed to local and seasonal ingredients. He even has his own garden. Everything was delicious.

My family and I are repeat diners at Forest Grill. I love there space. It is a very modern and comfortable dining room. The food is amazing! The charcuterie is wonderful, the farm egg is not to be missed and the tart flambe was fabulous. We enjoyed a couple of very nice cocktail, where were both inventive and tasty. I... More

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened several years ago. I was disappointed when the original chef left to open his own restaurant...and when I heard that the new chef was only 28 years old, I had trepidations. But no longer. Chef Nick has elevated the menu. We had the best duck preparation I have had in... More
