I usually stop here when I ride the Betsie River trail on my bike. Lots of sandwich choices and friendly staff. Order at the counter and take your meal to a table. There is also an outdoor seating area on the sidewalk in front of the cafe. Not much in the way of decor or atmosphere at L'Chayim, but the... More

We had a fantastic lunch here. I enjoy fresh made food. The fact it is Kosher is not a concern of mine but it does taste really good. Will go back again and again

We enjoyed lunch here twice during our recent visit to Crystal Lake. It was a favorite of our kids. The service was a bit lacking as we were not greeted when we arrived. Once we ordered our food was prepared quickly and all ingredients were very fresh.

This small quaint deli is a really wonderful place. The menu is varied and you may have a hard time deciding what you want. They make their own breads and some pastries. Great staff. It is usually crowded but they are quick. Some outside seating is available and the weather there lends itself to sitting there. I always get a... More

I almost never frequent the same restaurant more than once while on vacation. I went to L'Chayim two days in a row for lunch while visiting Beulah! I had a hard time deciding on just one item, everything looked so good. And it tasted good too! I really don't think you can go wrong here regardless of what you choose.... More

All soups homemade and tasty. Bagel sandwiches unique and very good. Casual atmosphere. Friendly staff.

As a resident of Beulah, I'm always astounded when I walk or drive by the place to see how uncared for the outside looks. Paint is peeling, the bench out front looks like it hasn't been painted for years and there are usually weeds growing around it. It's really an eyesore to the village. I mentioned that last year to... More

We were astonished to realise we'd eaten our sandwiches from filthy, crud encrusted plastic baskets. This was our first experience at a "real" deli. May the owners take note and WASH the things they serve food in. Sorry but true.

A 'hot tip' at the bike shop led to discovering L'Chayim in Buelah. And what a treat before riding the Betsie River Trail, scrumptious sandwiches made before our eyes! Beware, though, of the size of their sandwiches. My half sandwich, so generous a portion, were it not so delicious I might not have finished! Several are offered in half sizes.... More

There is also a L'Chayim that just opened in Frankfort. We tried them both. While staff isn't overly friendly, they are courteous and prompt. The bagels as well as spreads were good and they serve good coffee. We were amused by the ad they ran in the local paper that stressed being polite. For a quick breakfast or lunch at... More
