Great Beer Selection

The beer selection is great and a really cool sub-street level atmosphere. The peel and eat shrimp is a perfect match for the cold beer and having fun with work colleagues after work to wind down from a productive day.

Please take a moment to visit this brewery on your next trip to the St. Joe/Benton Harbor area. The beer is not only exquisitely made but very affordable and served by salt of the Earth people. Heck, they even allowed my girlfriend to tap a Firken keg. Wow.

This place is AWESOME. One of the owners is a die-hard Chicago sports fan (Mikey G), and loves getting to know his customers. Amazing staff, great beers. Highly recommend!

Located in a beautifully restored, industrial building. The beer was very good and while the menu was limited, the food we had was delicious. I highly recommend the 5cheese bread. I would love to see this joint when they have live music. Ignore reviews talking about bad neighborhoods or locations. As my daughter says, "Haters gonna hate. Potatoes gonna potate."

We stopped in because we heard of them through a book on Michigan breweries. It was hard to find and is in a different location than all the map places have, but it is near them and across the street. I finally found it by the sign on the side of the building when we left another restaurant that we... More

Most of the previous reviews cover the beer and food aspect. Most are not totally inaccurate. This is not a chain. It can be inconsistent at times. When its good, it's REALLY GOOD. I tend to give a little leniency to locally owned and run independents. Especially since the focus is on the "pub" aspect, they do a decent job.... More

Opportunity to visit comes rarely, but i stop by every year or less. The Sunday bar has moved upstairs. This was probably my best visit ever. The barkeep and patrons were friendly; had good stories.

We were in town for the holidays visiting family and The Livery is highly recommended by other craft breweries so you know they are doing something right. We visited after brunch on a Saturday morning and were surprised on everything we tried we really liked. Several beer choices from IPA's, Stouts, cask beers and even a barleywine. They do a... More

What a great find this was. Yes it is not in the best part of town although they are trying to improve the area but that should not stop you visiting. The array of beers on offer is substantial and all the ones we tried were of a high standard. The food is good especially the pizza although don't expect... More

Driving back from Grand Rapids to Indianapolis we wanted to hit a local spot on the coast for lunch. A beer magazine had an advert for the Livery, so we took 5 min off the highway to visit. I thought the GPS was taking us to the wrong place (you drive through a rough looking neighborhood at first), but so... More
