Worth the stop-- when the timing is right

Most of the previous reviews cover the beer and food aspect. Most are not totally inaccurate. This is not a chain. It can be inconsistent at times. When its good, it's REALLY GOOD. I tend to give a little leniency to locally owned and run independents. Especially since the focus is on the "pub... read more

Opportunity to visit comes rarely, but i stop by every year or less. The Sunday bar has moved upstairs. This was probably my best visit ever. The barkeep and patrons were friendly; had good stories.

We were in town for the holidays visiting family and The Livery is highly recommended by other craft breweries so you know they are doing something right. We visited after brunch on a Saturday morning and were surprised on everything we tried we really liked. Several beer choices from IPA's, Stouts, cask beers and even a barleywine. They do a... More

What a great find this was. Yes it is not in the best part of town although they are trying to improve the area but that should not stop you visiting. The array of beers on offer is substantial and all the ones we tried were of a high standard. The food is good especially the pizza although don't expect... More

Driving back from Grand Rapids to Indianapolis we wanted to hit a local spot on the coast for lunch. A beer magazine had an advert for the Livery, so we took 5 min off the highway to visit. I thought the GPS was taking us to the wrong place (you drive through a rough looking neighborhood at first), but so... More

Location was in a not so very nice part of town. Website was misleading when we went for a sandwich and beer at 9pm. Staff were indifferent. Better place to see live music and enjoy a drink.

First, the food and beer are great! But this is not a quick stop- we have a very long day of traveling and spent 1 1/2 hours here- mostly waiting for pizzas to cook. The owners were super-nice and apologetic. We had two misrepresentations with TripAdvisor: 1. If you use the map- it takes you to the wrong location and... More

There is always a great selection of beers on the board. The food is good. They have an assortment of sandwiches and munchies (nothing fried). I would recommend the pizzas. Just know this is a brewery first; food second.

Not for the food, although it is pretty good too! This is my favorite spot to go for beer! I definitely recommend it to tourists/visitors.

Wonderful atmosphere. This is the place to go to if you want good cold craft beer. The bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. A fun place.
