Right downtown - good location and good food

I am pleasantly surprised each time that I go here. Food always is tasty and portions are decent. Not large, but that's okay as I don't need the inducement to overeat. It's adjacent to a lot of what is downtown Battle Creek. Have been a few times with work colleagues and everyone always seems... read more

Look at that name--grill and pub. Sounds like a bar that serves food. They aren't pretending to be a microbrewery or a fancy eating place. They do what they set out to do--they have darn good bar food at darn good prices. And unlike many microbreweries, they have a darn good selection of beers--maybe the best in town. Great atmosphere.... More

The Griffin was kind enough to reserve a table for a party of 15 for me on St. Patrick's Day, one of their busiest days of the year. It was so nice to be able to walk in and have an area for our large group. We had a blast and enjoyed their food, including St. Patrick's Day specials. Was... More

Never have had a bad meal here. Regular food - appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, shepherds pie, etc. Normally, I just order a burger but last time I had Shepherds pie and it was very good.

Stopped by here after a wrestling tournament at Kellogg Arena. It's in very close proximity to McAmley plaza and the arena. We had fish tacos, fries, Mac and cheese, and hot fudge ice cream brownie for dessert. The fish tacos were better than I expected-generous portions of fried cod with slaw was actually very tasty. (They also have baja shrimp... More

A friend and I stopped by before we headed over to another restaurant with some other friends. The pub is a nice scene and I think I will be back. The bar tender was very helpful and had time to talk even though the place was almost full.

Lots on the menu to choose from. Anything from Wings to BLTs to burgers to Irish Stew. Their burgers are very good. The home made chips are really good. It feels more like a "grill" than an actual pub, but I like that. Not a lot of craft beers on tap, but a wide selection of bottles. All in all... More

It is a nice place with good options for those appreciate many different kinds of beer, but the place smells cigarette smoke. The food options are limited.

I came just for appetizers and a drink on the patio. The patio was beautiful. The staff was great, the food good bar food, and everything reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice. This was a great place to stop and get a drink. I will be returning for lunch again soon.
