I cringed when I read the bad reviews here of this restaurant. They seem totally unfair and undeserved. Anthony's Pier 4 in Boston has been a long-standing family favorite. Last year it closed and was torn down. We were heart broken. No more bouillabaisse? But during a recent trip to the Cape, we stumbled on this country version of Anthony's... More

Very old Cape Cod, kind of 70's. Our server was great and the food was really terrific. The wine list is chardonnay, chardonnay, chardonnay. We liked everything but the "sommelier"...he was an idiot who clearly knows nothing about wine.

The restaurant is old and tired so it has lost a lot of its charm which is a shame because the food is excellent. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. Our waiter, Andrew, was funny and very obliging to our requests. The marinated mushrooms are superb and the popovers are to die for. The four of us... More

Years ago, Anthony's was my parent's place for celebrations. Unfortunately, the years have not been kind to the reputation of this Old Dame. We had heard, from reviews and from friends who have visited more recently that yes, Anthony's Cummaquid Inn is still alive and well. Last night, with a set of friends, we stepped back in time and we... More

When driving by Anthony's Cummaquid I questioned whether it was open or not. The outside looks a little neglected without many cars. But, we were pleasantly surprised with the meal we had. We used to go to Anthony's Pie 4 in Boston for special occasions and this one has many of the same features. Waiters in white jackets, marinated mushrooms... More

We had a very positive experience at Anthony's Cummaquid Inn in Yarmouth Port. Since we live on the Cape, we often drive past places and then forget to go to them. With a good looking $25 3-course offering, we booked a reservation here before a show at the Cape Rep Theater. With a huge window overlooking lush green foliage and... More

Went to use gift certificate we had for quite sometime and soooo pleasantly surprised! Wish we had gone sooner! Awesome dinner --- excellent food, exceptional service, wish we had gone there years ago --- we're sure it was something very special in its heyday --- sad to see it not in full splendor and hope someone invests to capitalize on... In the Cape Cod Times on Thursday there was a good review of Anthony's Cummaquid Inn. The last time we had been there was in 1986, when it was packed with customers, and we had thought about going recently, but wondered if it had closed, despite seeing the sign when we drove by on Route 6A. We made reservations, and... More

Three of us had an early dinner at the Inn last Sunday after a concert. We had a table by large windows overlooking the water in a pastoral setting. We were served drinks and house appetizers very quickly. Our dinners : steak, prime rib, and fish, were all perfectly cooked and delicious. Nothing fancy, but very good. Service very good... More

We were part of a party of seven who went to Anthony's for their advertised prix fixe dinner featuring lobster. Our table had a lovely view but things went downhill from there. The waiter mixed up two martini drinks and didn't seem bothered by that. Then we ordered dinner including three lobster specials. After about ten minutes the waiter returned... More
