Really awesome marinated mushrooms...not the kind from some bottle. Also, the hot popovers are absolutely to die for. The lobster Newburg was very tasty. The baked stuffed lobster was filled with lobster meat and toasted bread crumbs. I enjoyed it but I have had better for close to forty dollars. The lobster Newburg for 29.95 was a good dish. There... I am among those who loved Pier 4, so I tried the Cummaquid Inn. The location and view are excellent. The building (inside & out) needs some help. However, the food and service were SUPERB. They have a 3-course "special" menu, which includes appetizer (soup, salad, or baked clams, entree (lobster, filet mignon, & chicken), and dessert for $27. Anthony's... More

My parents, my spouse, and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The service and food were excellent. We each enjoyed three course meals that featured filet mignon or lobster (and both were healthy servings), cocktails and a second beverage, and the entire bill, including tax and a generous tip came to $50 per person. That's a tremendous value in this area. The... More

My wife has visited Anthony's over the years since she was a kid visiting Cape Cod and and I been a visited several times over the years as well. We were looking for something special for our anniversary and we were not disaapointed in the least. Pulling in, you might not know what to expect or might even considering turning... More

First ate at this restaurant in 1983. HAve since moved across country but returned for one more great meal. Bouillabaise was superb. Popovers great. Marinated mushrooms well prepared. In 1983 had Strawberries Romanoff; sadly no longer on menu but the Baked Alaska was really good, Building old, needs some work, but the character of the place is what is important-along... More

I cringed when I read the bad reviews here of this restaurant. They seem totally unfair and undeserved. Anthony's Pier 4 in Boston has been a long-standing family favorite. Last year it closed and was torn down. We were heart broken. No more bouillabaisse? But during a recent trip to the Cape, we stumbled on this country version of Anthony's... More

Very old Cape Cod, kind of 70's. Our server was great and the food was really terrific. The wine list is chardonnay, chardonnay, chardonnay. We liked everything but the "sommelier"...he was an idiot who clearly knows nothing about wine.

The restaurant is old and tired so it has lost a lot of its charm which is a shame because the food is excellent. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. Our waiter, Andrew, was funny and very obliging to our requests. The marinated mushrooms are superb and the popovers are to die for. The four of us... More

Years ago, Anthony's was my parent's place for celebrations. Unfortunately, the years have not been kind to the reputation of this Old Dame. We had heard, from reviews and from friends who have visited more recently that yes, Anthony's Cummaquid Inn is still alive and well. Last night, with a set of friends, we stepped back in time and we... More

When driving by Anthony's Cummaquid I questioned whether it was open or not. The outside looks a little neglected without many cars. But, we were pleasantly surprised with the meal we had. We used to go to Anthony's Pie 4 in Boston for special occasions and this one has many of the same features. Waiters in white jackets, marinated mushrooms... More
