Good New England Inn. Just what you want and expect. Good selection on the menu. The service was good and enjoyed the experience. I would recommend it.
The inn keeper where we were staying recommended the Old Yarmouth Inn for dinner. My husband and I hadn't been there for about 30 years. The decor is a bit tired and could be updated for minimal expense, but the food did not disappoint. The chicken pot pie was chock full of veggies and chicken and the chef's special, seafood... More
We visit the Cape 5-6 times a year and Yarmouth Inn was recommended by a friend. We were greeted by very friendly staff & were shown to our table in the main dining room. Our waitress Shannon recommended various salads & entrees to us. My wife had beef short ribs and loved them. I had Parmesan panko encrusted haddock. It... More
Beautiful old inn with a great bar area. The food is consistently very good and some of it is outstanding. The duck and short ribs are bellweathers. The steak and gorgonzola salad is also wonderful as is the creamed spinach. Last time, I had a stuffed quahog as an appetizer for the heck of it and it was great! We've... More
A genuinely old Cape Cod experience right on the Old Kings Highway (ROUTE 6 A). A formal dining room and rooms for private dinners and informal seating in area around an excellent bar. Friendly neighborhood owners who make sure you feel welcomed. Food is excellent and a bit more adventurous than ee might expect from a restaurant and inn established... More
I have been at the Old Yarmouth Inn several times, for dinner and brunch. It's my restaurant of choice when I want to bring family and friends to the "best restaurant on the Cape". So far, 100% pleased. Looking forward to dine again.
We ate here on a Sunday night in the tavern portion of the Inn and the prix fixe menu was really great. We were surprised at how crowded it was for a rainy Sunday night off season. Lots of delicious choices - butternut squash soup with cinnamon croutons, clam chowder, petite filet, seared pork loin, and a really yummy apple... More
I am so glad that you enjoyed the Early Dinner menu! The Tavern is the perfect spot on a cold night and typically fills up first once the cooler temps roll in. The Menu is a great value and some of the options change every couple of months to give our guests the opportunity to try something different. I hope... More
From the moment you walk in the door, you will find that everyone from the owner to the busboys are very welcoming. The ambiance is very nice in the main dining room, but the tavern and the Red room are even better (especially near the fireplaces). My wife and I dined here recently on a cold rainy November night. We... More
Thank you so much for your review. Our center fireplace sets the tone for a welcoming atmosphere, but our staff makes it come alive. The kitchen works hard to ensure a consistent product and we place an emphasis on quality and there is a cost to that. All of the items you ordered are seasonal offering through the Winter, so... We thought this a very friendly inn, and again our waitress was very helpful advising on portion size and helping me in choosing a local ale, the Nantucket Whales Tale which was the best of the beers in our east coast trip. Very good food and very good value, and only a few minutes walk from the Liberty Hill Inn,... More
Thank you for your review and thanks for your nod to our servers that are here to ensure that our guests get the most our of their experience with us. I am glad that you enjoyed the Whales Tale Pale Ale and the food in equal measure and I hope that if your travels bring you back to the Cape... More
What an absolutely lovely meal. This place has been operating since the 17th century and has a wonderfully cozy feel; perfect for a date on a cold November night. We sat next to one of several roaring fire places and ordered off their prix fixe menu which is a great deal but you have to be there early to catch... More
