We ate here on a Sunday night in the tavern portion of the Inn and the prix fixe menu was really great. We were surprised at how crowded it was for a rainy Sunday night off season. Lots of delicious choices - butternut squash soup with cinnamon croutons, clam chowder, petite filet, seared pork loin, and a really yummy apple... More

From the moment you walk in the door, you will find that everyone from the owner to the busboys are very welcoming. The ambiance is very nice in the main dining room, but the tavern and the Red room are even better (especially near the fireplaces). My wife and I dined here recently on a cold rainy November night. We... More

We thought this a very friendly inn, and again our waitress was very helpful advising on portion size and helping me in choosing a local ale, the Nantucket Whales Tale which was the best of the beers in our east coast trip. Very good food and very good value, and only a few minutes walk from the Liberty Hill Inn,... More

What an absolutely lovely meal. This place has been operating since the 17th century and has a wonderfully cozy feel; perfect for a date on a cold November night. We sat next to one of several roaring fire places and ordered off their prix fixe menu which is a great deal but you have to be there early to catch... More

We were warmly welcomed at the Inn form the hostess to the Danni in the bar! The food was excellent. We chose to sit at the bar to eat and ended up chatting with lots of locals. A really great night. When we went back 2 nights later, they remembered our names and welcomed us back. Lovely!!!!!

Nice atmosphere, everyone seemed to be having a great time. We had the best waitress I've seen in a very long time. The food was amazing, but a bit pricey. We all wanted to go back to have more of their clam chowder.

The old world charm of the Inn (which seemed recently restored), was an inviting setting for a spontaneous get-a-way meal on the Cape. The restaurant was empty pretty much yet that's to be expected for 5:00PM on an October weeknight off-season. But James, our waiter, made our evening a hit. For example, when we told him we needed more time... More

Ate here 5 times whilst staying in the area,it was consistently good. Choice of restaurant or bar but food the same. Preferred the bar, it had a bit more atmosphere as we eat quite late and the restaurant seemed to empty early. The staff were all lovely. Genuinely friendly, not just after a big tip, helpful with the menu, patient when we couldn't... More

It was good to see a full parking lot in late October on Cape Cod. Nice colonial ambiance; the large and loud main dining room was attractive with a small fireplace at one end. One scallop diner was OK; plopped in a large bowl with no presentation whatsoever and very heavy on the sage. When I saw a chicken dish... More

The Old Yarmouth Inn, better known as the OYI locally, is a great place to eat. They have a varied menu, great service and wonderful surroundings. Sunday brunch has many food choices and lunch and dinner are equally enjoyable. Since this is actually an old inn the setting is unique. Reservations are a good idea.
