Description: In the beautiful hills of Tuscany, and in the cities and villages that dot...
In the beautiful hills of Tuscany, and in the cities and villages that dot the countryside we discovered a simple food paradise which we were eager to bring closer to home. We created VIA to offer you those culinary gems from our visits to Italy in combination with old family recipes, as well as American favorites. VIA captures the rare rustic charm of Italian cooking and dining. Italians love to eat outdoors, so we have created a beautiful four-season patio at VIA, so our guests can dine al fresco whenever possible. VIA is the essence of Italian dining - full of charm and great aromas with our open kitchen, complete with brick-oven bread, baked daily; hearty meats, such as tenderloin, pork and chicken slowly turning and roasting on our spit, and the joys of gelato being created right before your eyes. Like Italy, our inspiration, VIA is a picture of contrasts. The restaurant is both urban and rural, sophisticated and casual, old world and remarkably new. It is a place where singles mingle with families, where private conversations are had among festive celebrations. With this environment and our attention to detail where fresh good foods are concerned, the simple act of dining feels like a joyous occasion. In Italian, VIA means "the way." Come to VIA and enjoy "the way" we embrace our travel memories, our family recipes, and American traditions which are so important to us.

In a city known for its abundance of excellence food choices from hot dogs to filet mignon it was surprising to find VIA serving average tasting, rather bland fare. For all of it's hype VIA certainly doesn't compare well with its crosstown sister restaurant Sole Proprietor. The choices are many but lack interest and finesse in the making. This was... More

The bread was good that is about it. The actual food was not that great. Just average food. My pasta dish was filled with way too much fat from the beat and under cooked pork that was not cooked for that many hours. My wife's dish was not that great either a vegetarian dish.

Service and food were decent but the food was nothing special. Its like an overpriced Olive Garden. I think its an Italian restaurant trying to be trendy and pretentious.

Met with friends for dinner last night. We had reservations and were promptly seated. Ordered drinks and appetizers. The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was good, although a bit salty for my taste. The salads were nice, very large portions. We got our meals and I had ordered the chicken parm. The portions were large, the chicken very tasty, but the pasta... More

We had good service, weak drinks, and a very noisy evening at this restaurant. Everything was overpriced for the portions you got. Anti-pasto was very good but pizza tasted like cardboard. We really felt it was not worth the money and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone over 30!

6 of us met on a Saturday Night at Via to celebrate 2 Birthdays and an Engagement. Atmosphere, service and food was excellent. The location was right off Rt. 290 with parking in the back. My son made the reservations and we were seated as soon as our whole party arrived. The Italian Cuisine was very good and everybody tried... More

We visited VIA for the 1st time in January, rescuing our snowbound college student from his campus to enjoy a family dinner out. I'm so glad we followed the recommendation of a friend and went to VIA. From the warm, friendly service to the spectacular entrees, everything was fabulous. We had the chicken parmesan, the seafood fra diablo, grilled trout... More

This is a great place to visit for some fine Italian-inspired cuisine, along with a very nice selection of wines. I particularly like the fact that they serve a number of fine wines by the glass, so my spouse and I can have different selections without resorting to "house wines". We've been taking Italian classes nearby, and this is our... More

Our party of four went on Saturday night and it was very busy with a diverse crowd. We had reservations and were seated right away. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was good. For appetizers we tried the fried calamri (good) and bruschetta (ok). The bruschetta was just ok because the bread was grilled very well... More
