This place brings you back...You can see the names of the past carved in the seats and the hot dogs are delicious... The staff has never been overly friendly and for some reasons the flies are everywhere. The hot dogs are not as big as other places and are priced average to a little high. The parking is in the... George's is part of a dieing breed. The single specialty restaurant that does one thing, (well a couple of things), right and sticks to the original. The Friday only Fish & Chips places are also in that category. His chili sauce is basic and excellent. The crispness of grilling the dogs is wonderful. I don't know how he gets those... More

It has an amazing atmosphere, and the prices are great. They have probably the best hot dogs I have ever eaten. They have tons of different topping to choose from, I personally love the chili dog. It's very easy to get to, and is a family friendly environment.

in a recent 'taste test' with my wife (who comes from Natick)...this Worcester boy's Coney Island Hot Dogs beat "Casey's" of Natick, MA hands down. Both have steamed rolls, both crowded...but Casey boils the dog, while Coney Island grilles them....which is a much better flavor 3 dogs and a chocolate milk...or with a Millar Highlife....yummmmm atmosphere is vintage retro 1930's....not... This is a very casual lunch stop with the main offerings of hog dogs and pickles! You can get a grilled cheese but why would you (unless you don't eat meat). The old booths and walls are covered with initials and messages from folks dating back decades. This is on the fringe of downtown Worcester so parking is not really... More

Hot Dogs...Yum. Great atmosphere. Quick service even when it is busy..and it gets busy. Plenty of seating.. in booths that are covered with name carvings. It actually gives it some character. Easy to get to in Worcester.

Love their chili sauce! Cool old fashion style. Inexpensive food and drinks! Have been there many times and have yet to be disappointed.

What can I say - walking into Coney Island is like stepping back in time and into an American Institution. While they are famous for their Coney Island Dog, the hamburgers, soups (seasonal), and homemade beans are also excellent. Line up and watch your dog (or burger)come right off the grill and be prepared in front of you to your... More

Of course everyone knows about the hot dogs, pretty much the same for my 50 something years, they are excellent, but I just had an egg sandwich so good it inspired me. Cheese, fried egg, on a bulky, that and a Polar orange dry and I almost got over my X. Excellent Greek salads as well, veg soup, I just... More

Yes the place is a Worcester Institution and yes the dogs have gotten smaller and the prices higher but there's just something about it. The chocolate milk, chili cheese dogs prepared up the arm of your server, the booths. It all just reeks of when Worcester had a Main Street, Worcester Market, Sears, White Castle and after you had a... More
