Great food, great beer, RIP jerk chicken sandwich

I've been here a handful of times and other than there sometimes being a wait for food/beer due to their being busy, it's always been great. I must admit to being crestfallen when I visited for the third time to discover that the bordering-on-lunacy-spicy jerk chicken sandwich, which I had done... read more

I spent several months in Worcester and this was one of the most reliable places to eat and drink, for those who like beer. They have a rotating list, with several hard-to-come-by local brews, such as Hill Farmstead.

Great find! Visited on a Sunday to try their brunch ..Mac & cheese was excellent as was the blue cheese grits and toast plate. The Bloody Mary was spicy and a perfect blend. The three in our party of five who drank beer were impressed with their beer menu and were quite happy with our two hour visit. A bit... More

Driving back to Boston from CT, my wife and I decided to stop for dinner in Worcester. I'll be honest... I haven't had great experiences in Worcester, especially with dining. Then, I discovered Armsby Abbey and had the best food (salmon wraith lots of other goodies), and the coolest selection of local New England micro-brews. The crowd was a very... More

I was once a fan. I was once a regular. I probably will never be back. As a party of four, we headed to Armsby on a perfect summer Friday evening. We each ONE drink at the bar while waiting for a table, were seated and ordered promptly. The appetizers came and the server was taking our second drink orders.... More

I know a lot of people come to the Abbey for the extensive tapped beer selection (which is diverse and always on point with the menu) but you have to stay for the menu! The mac-and-cheese, a menu staple, is rich and so delectable I could order it every time I go! The ingredients of each dish make you feel... More

It constantly amazes us that a bar that could totally rest on its beer laurels manages to put out amazing food. I'm also impressed with the beer knowledge of the staff, which you would assume all beer bars would have, but you would be wrong. The menu is extensive and varied, with some great off the beaten path stuff like... More

My husband and I visited this past Saturday. The menu is small, but has a variety of food. They appear to specialize in local farm foods and fresh cheeses. We ended up starting with the pork rinds (not great at all) and the hummus (delicious - grilled, thick pita served with it). There is a fairly large selection of beers,... More

We went for the first time for Sunday brunch. We got there a few minutes before they opened, which I recommend. We got seated quickly and had a friendly, attentive server. I had the quiche which was really great. Flaky crust, full of veggies and egg. My daughter had the strawberry pancakes, which were also delicious.. My husband had the... More
