There are better places in Woods Hole

As a local I typically visit once a year when visitors invite me along after already selecting the place, so I can say it's at least consistent.

Scallops my wife had were horrible - over cooked and rubbery. We were comp'd for that but still. Very apologetic, but this should not have happened. Lazy kitchen.

Very nice view and friendly staff, Christina, our Jamaican server took good care of us. We ordered oysters in a half-shelf, lobster bake, lobster roll and wine. Weather was perfect, atmosphere quite relaxing, we had a great time at the Cape.

unfortunately the view was the only strong point. The service was slow and very indifferent . The food was a disappointment. I had the lobster dip. It was greasy warmed cream cheese with a few rare pieces of shrimp passed off as lobster. Yuck

I had lunch with a friend at Shuckers on July 4th. Hopping bar. Beautiful outside seating on the patio near the dock. Menu features fresh seafood dishes, seafood, sushi, and salads. Table service during our visit was terrible, but we wrote it off as being really busy. Ice tea was dispensed versus fresh brewed iced tea. Excellent lobster rolls.

Sat at the bar for a Labor Day Weekend visit. No wait. Drinks are awesome. Food is fantastic. Lou, our bartender, is well worth the visit. Closes after Columbus Day for the season. Come by soon.

We visited with our family on a Sunday afternoon on the last weekend in August. We we arrived the initial service was OK and then it went downhill from there. The food took forever to arrive and when it did it was average at best. Definitely don't bother as I'm sure there are better options in town.

... we had dinner here, outside, by the water -- and supper was super. As large ducks awaited castoffs (none to be had), we supped on seafood, downed an ail and enjoyed talking.

Went on a whim while waiting for the ferry. The food was excellent and service efficient and friendly. An excellent dinner choice with a view of the water!

Had dinner at the bar . . . Good service, bartender knowledgable about the menu., generous cocktail. I enjoyes the local oysters and the sewwt, garlicy scallops very much. What can you say about fresh oysters . . . They were. Expertly shucked and loose in the shells, nice presentation. Scallops were fresh, well prepared (nicely seared, not over- or... More
