Food is fair at best and ambience is lacking; not a great combination! This restaurant attracts the tourist that isn't familiar with other local spots. If in Woods Hole, there are many other locations to dine that far exceed their capabilities. Not one of my favorites.

Shuckers is located in adorable Woods Hole and is down a little walk way right on the water! It is outdoors, but does have a "tent" over part of the outdoor seating so you can eat outside in any kind of weather. They also have additional seating right on the dock or inside. Tuesday night is Lobster Boil night with... More

Hubby and I went on a warm summer night and sat on the barge. I had the double lobster boil.....he had fish tacos. Very good, fresh lobster......not fussy, just good!

I ordered the mussels and they were a watered down, tasteless dish - no seasoning and fishy tasting. I've had better mussels in a Houston chain restaurant. Keep walking past this place and find somewhere with better prices and hopefully better food down the road.

My scallop dinner was pretty good. I enjoyed the sesame flavor and was happy that they offered a non-fried scallop plate. The sesame sauce on the scallops seemed to be nothing too special but the scallops themselves were good-sized and fresh. The mashed potatoes on my plate resembled a sea shell, which was cute, but they didn't taste like a... More

Once on the Cape, it's easy to get stuck in your town for dining. Plan a day in Woods Hole, at the western tip of Falmouth, ending with a delightful dinner at Shuckers. First, many popular vacation restaurants o the Cape do not take reservations, so you have to plan carefully. Shuckers was happy to take our res. for dinner,... More

We stopped at Shucker's with the family for lunch after a boat ride off Wood's Hole with the kids and nephews. The location is great - right in the heart of Wood's Hole and tucked away on a little harbor. The kids had a blast feeding the ducks ( and striped bass! ) right from our table. Service was excellent,... More

The food here is fresh and carefully prepared. We had lobster one evening, then seared tuna salad for one and BBQ ribs for the other, all excellent. The proprietor comes around to ask customers how they like the food. He was kind enough to offer to take photos of my husband and me!

My oriental salad was missing mandarin oranges. Dressing tasted store bought. Waiter was no attentive and we were about done by the time he checked on us. Nice location but food and service not worth it.
