Good view and breakfast, but not budget prices

We had two breakfasts there. Both were really good, particularly the scramble with plenty of lobster. The hash the next day was also good and came with eggs and home fries. I always like this café for its charm and great selection. My daughter gets a thrill from sitting at the window and watching the Woods Hole drawbridge go up every twenty minutes or so. The food is good though priced higher than it should be. it's very unfortunate to report therefore that during our last visit both toilets backed up... More

After several years of ups and downs "The Monger" back on the top of the 7 or so Woods Hole dining establishments. There were five of us for dinner a few nights ago, the entrees were 2 Swordfish, 1 Tuna, 1 Paella and 1 Bucatini with Frutta de Mare Fra Diavolo. All meals wer excellent as was the service and... When we are asked how we would like our eggs cooked, we normally expect to see some effort to comply with our requests. I ordered poached eggs with corned beef hash. When asked I said I'd like mine 'BARELY POACHED." Another person in our part asked for medium poach. Much to our surprise and disdain our poached eggs came out... More

We had lunch there on a weekday, and it was really quiet. The restaurant is located at the Marina, so you can enjoy nice views. Their menu has many options for seafood lovers. We had the Lobster melt sandwich, which was delicious, full of lobster and reasonably priced. The service was very attentive. Nice place to have lunch.

I am not sure you would go to Woods Hole for its restaurants but, once there, this was a good find. Having a window table with a view helped, but the service was excellent and the food reasonably priced and tasty. There was a fair selection of everyday dishes, which arrived quickly. Nothing special but the service was friendly and... More

I cannot believe this place remains in business. We got more than one specials list both were incorrect. It took forever for them to figure out if there was a list for the day and when we got our food the "clam roll "it was a huge roll filled with lettuce and then chopped up tomatoes with six small clams.... Best lobsta roll I'd ever had at that point. So generous with the lobsta that I had to force feed myself because I felt guilty about not eating it all. Seemed like a sin. The key lime pie is so good it puts any place in key west to shame. Worth the drive from anywhere.

This restaurant had a great selection of local beers on tap- I really enjoyed trying the flight! They also had super tasty flatbreads and awesome service. It's nice to get a window seat since you can look out at the dock and see all of the boats.

We had a great time at this restaurant. After being extremely disappointed with the Landfall, we decided to try this place. We all loved it. There were multiple dishes that looked great, and everything that we tried was great! The waitress was very personable and kind. We went for two nights in a row, and she remembered my grandmother's birthday... More
