I was very disappointed with several different things. First, on a day where the restaurant was not busy, it took quite a while for our party to be seated. The wait staff, while polite and pleasant, took a while to get us our drink orders and forget getting a refill. Portions were not what we expected, especially for the price.... More

My wife and I were travelling from the midwest and happened upon this area. We stopped in at Captain Kidd for dinner and had a wonderful experience. We were warmly greeted by the host, made to feel welcome by the staff and the food was fantastic. I had the lobster roll and my wife had the lobster dinner, and then... More

Had dinner last week at the Captain Kidd, have been there several times in the past but love what they have done with the place! They have renovated some areas and keep some rustic and have done an amazing job! We sat on the outside deck which has been renovated where there are seats that go out on the dock..very... More

Rustic nautical motif with a bit of Cambridge. The Kidd has one of the better burgers in town and has great local following. From a good casual lunch to dinners, to a night life drinking crowd, this is a fun spot on the weekends.

The crab dip was awesome, it was so creamy, the bread they served was so soft. However, we sat in the porch area and the powder keg stools that were used for seating were very uncomfortable.

We sat at the bar and watched the Georgia / Clemson football game and had a great time. the bar staff was very attentive and the food was better than average for a bar menu.

Sometimes change is not good, it can be horrendous. We have been coming here since the Falmouth Road Race was "an infant". We have enjoyed and supported Captain Kidds through hurricanes , renovations, their ups and downs! We have gathered on the dock for many dinners and have many memories from time spent at the great bar and playing pinball.... More

The food is great, service is good, and they have renovated the interior to bring it up to date. Some locals say they've lost their waterfront edgey charm, and the purple lighting on the deck is oddly disorienting, but this Woods Hole classic is still great!

On a recent voyage to Cape Cod, my mother and I took a side trip to Wood's Hole. Looking for a spot to eat, we examined the menu of Captain Kidd and found some choices that sounded appealing enough to take a chance. After being led to a dockside seat with boats surrounding us, we placed our order with a... More
