Chengdu Hot Dry Chicken is a MUST

I've been here a handful of times for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is in an old historic mansion, so each room has about 3-4 tables, which makes it cozy. Their Chengdu Hot Dry Chicken is AMAZING. It’s spicy (but not that spicy), it’s salty, it’s garlicky – it’s everything you want in a... read more

The spicy food is very good, ALMOST (but not quite) as Sichuan Gourmet, but this place offers a prize-winning bartender and many delicious alcoholic concoctions. Try the hot dry chicken, any of the specials, be adventurous - and keep the drinks coming. I always order the "Bartender's choice", so I don't have to read the tiny print on the menu... More

We were very pleased with everything. All dishes from the kitchen came out piping hot and delicious. The egg drop and hot & sour soups were among the best I've ever had. Spring rolls were hot and crispy. Kung Pao chicken and shredded pork with sweet red peppers were superb. Service was excellent. The only exception was the limited wine... More

The drinks are strong, the servers do not speak very good English, the chicken fingers are by far the best I've ever had in my life at an Asian restaurant but the rest of the food was just so so. The sauces are absolutely fantastic I believe that the sweet and sour sauce is made in-house. If you're ever in... More

It took us nearly an hour to get to Woburn, but we were not disappointed. The restaurant is in an historic house, with several tables to a room; our room had two small tables (for 2 to 4) and one large one (capable of seating 6). This was the nicest possible arrangement, offering just the right mix of a convivial... More

I ate here three years ago when on travel and finally had the opportunity to visit again! Really great Chinese food in a wonderful old historic home. As another reviewer mentioned, the restaurant was busy, and I did observe Chinese-speaking patrons, which is always a good sign! I had some very spicy and delicious pork with garlic sauce. My dinning... More

Second visit here- very good food, good service, always busy (a good sign, particularly since the customers are often Chinese). Very reliable according to our host.

Located in the Baldwin House in Woburn,MA this property is a member of the National Register of Historic Places. The restaurant not only maintains the integrity of its storied past but does so while delivering tantalizing dishes. Few of the dishes will be ones you haven't heard of but all that I have had have been done really well. For... More

Ok -- second time here. Better than the first! Sat at the bar watching the amazing performance of the 3 bar tenders -- including one who won some local competition as a mixologist. The idea at the bar is to give them some ideas of what you like (flavor profile) and they will prep drinks for you. And it WORKS!... More

The bar is small so you have to reserve a table in the bar and even reserve a BAR STOOL!!!! It's definitely worth reserving a stool at the bar. Get the "bartender's choice" - he'll make a great drink to your individual taste. The bar is a very fun place - can be packed even on the weekdays. The food... More
