I do quite a few reviews every year and have rarely given someone only 2 of 5 - but these guys earned it. For cocktails, Sichuan Garden II has a huge list to chose - but you never heard of one beer on the list. I tried a Mai Tai.....it was good but pricey. I had the Hot & Sour... More

This will be a strange review. I absolutely love the food here. But I am so turned off by my last visit that I will never return. My family and I have been frequenting this restaurant for a good 5 or 6 years. Though I have never been to the Sichuan area in China, I perceive what they serve to... More

We made a reservation for ten for a going-away party and requested a round table. Happily arrived to find ourselves in what seemed an almost private room (it was 5:00 pm). Our waitstaff was excellent: attentive, spoke very good English, offered suggestions, kept our waters full and appeared often, yet were not intrusive. We didn't feel rushed at all. We... More

Family of 4 (4 yr old and 7 yr old) liked it. My 7 yr old son (Chines food lover) at one point said "I feel like I'm in heaven". He would have licked the plate if I had let him. We ordered: Beef Satay (delicious and better quality meat), Pork Pan Seared Dumplings (good flavor) which came with soy... More

We were staying in a nearby hotel, so I checked a couple review sites ahead of time to scope out restaurants. We are huge fans of Sichuan cuisine, so I was delighted (and surprised) to find that Sichuan Garden II was only a mile or two away. We are in no way food snobs, but one thing we learned while... We went to Sichuan Garden II on a sat evening. We waited around 10 mins to get seated. then we waited 10+ mins to get water and menu. then we waited 20+ mins to get our feedback and we have to chase down waiter to pay our bill. DON"T GO HERE if you want any service

We had some of the finest szechuan food here we have ever had! The chicken wings were so crispy on the outside with a light batter and sweet hot dipping sauce...MMMMM! Hot & Sour soup top-notch. I ordered off the "secret" menu which lists some of their more "spicy" favs and got the sicuan flavored beef...excellent flavor but perhaps slightly... More

I was introduced to this restaurant by the tour guide from my trip to China. The key here is not to order anything you recognize as "Chinese Food". Want shrimp fried rice and sweet and sour chicken? Go to the cheap place in the strip mall. Want transcendent tastiness? Order something that you've never heard of before. The Chong Qing... More

My wife and I held a wedding reception in this restaurant. They have a medium hall where you can hold more than 60 people. Foods are more spicy and authentic than other Sichuan restaurant around Boston, say Sichuan Gourmet in the Brookline. The service is excellent. The people are helpful to open champagnes that are purchased outside the restaurant only... More

Usually this place is hit or miss (~3 stars), but I ordered take out tonight (extra spicy garlic scallops and shrimp fried rice) and it was marginally disgusting. The "fishy" scallops were cooked with wilted broccoli and the dish did not have a hint of garlic. This was the second time I ordered the dish; the time before that I... More
