We've been here for dim sum a number of times. It compares favorably with dim sum restaurants in Manhattan and Boston. There is plenty of variety and the food is hot and delicious. The workers speak little English and I speak no Mandarin, but somehow, I manage to select my favorite items with little difficulty. It usually costs around $8-10... More

My husband ordered the shrimp kung pao and was served old chicken Kung pao. He says it tasted like something that was freezer burned. We told the waitress it was wrong and she took it back. When they came back with shrimp it was colder than the rest of the plate, which means they had picked out the chicken and... More

We went here with some friends who have been going for years. As a transplant from NY I have generally been underwhelmed by Chinese food in Boston and have not found a true favorite Dim Sum place. I would definitely return to China Pearl though. The food was all quite good. I wish I could make recommendations but catching the... More

The China Pearl is a nice treat for Dim Sum outside of Boston's Chinatown. The food is delicious. The restaurant is not the cleanest. But the staff is very friendly.

The food is actually pretty good but the service is crappy. Been there three times and the last one just sucked. Lunch was going fine but getting the food was pretty sporadic where we were sitting. When the bill came, apparently we didn't tip enough and the server almost stopped us from leaving and kind of got an attitude going... More

Late night - one of the few options on a Sunday night after 9pm. Ordered the hot and sour soup, egg rolls and orange chicken to go. The hot and sour soup was average. The egg rolls had an extra ingredient that just didn't taste like your normal egg roll - couldn't really identify it and I am not a... More

China Pearl offers dim sum seven days a week. That alone is worth a few stars. We are particularly fond of the eggplant with shrimp, Chinese broccoli, real Chinese spareribs, shrimp and chive dumplings (both steamed and fried), and tofu rolls. If you don't see what you like on the cart, ask for it: chances are they will make it... More

the egg drop soup was nothing I had ever tasted before. It was a clear liquid with mushrooms in it. the sweet n sour- the white meat chicken seemed ok but the sauce was not the usual I get almost everywhere else. the restaurant had cardboard boxes on the floor leading to the kitchen and looked in general "run down"

I have eaten here a few times for both Chinese and also for Dim Sum. The food is ok and nothing really to write home about. If you are near the Woburn Mall, and thinking of having Chinese, this place could be ok for you. Also, they do have a small separated bar area which sometimes has karaoke.

Went to the place twice in one month. I can say now that the food is the same or even better than Chinatown. They have their own parking lot in the back, and the server don't rush you when you ran the check. If you want to avoid the busy Chinatown area and wanted a good dim sum place to... More
