There must be new kitchen staff because the salad I and friends enjoyed 3 or 4 weeks ago was now a poor imitation of its former self. BUT, more importantly, we tried dining there a week or so ago, the house was fairly empty, and it took more than an hour and a half for the food to arrive. The... More

Bad service happens, but bad service with bad attitude is an unfortunate pairing. Service makes or breaks a cafe. This cafe is on the downward path.

We arrived hungrey and possibly late for a play . We had a delightful waitress Kyra, she took excellent care of us. Suggested a great dinner of Chicken Picatta and made sure we got to the theater with time to spare. The atmosphere is warm country tavern comfortable arm chairs and soft lighting. This will be a new favorite.

As always, the service '6 House Pub was cheerful and efficient. I'm afraid the food wasn't up to my usual expectations, however. I ordered the mushroom ravioli, with ham and peas, and the peas appeared to have been turned out of a can - very yellowish and off-putting; they were either canned or way overcooked. Even worse, the alfredo sauce... More

Under the former owners, this was operated as the 1896 House and the last time I was there I was very un-impressed. Now under new owners, and having let several years go by, we recently got together with friends at the 6 House Pub and we were in for a treat. I had the Schrod as did a friend of... More

This Pub is in the 1896 Horse Barn. Great atmosphere, great food and drink. Eat inside or out. Good menu selections.

The 6 on the House was an old barn that was renovated and is now a restaurant. I loved the atmosphere and the history. The service was great and the my food excellent. I sat in a comfortable, cushioned chair as I dined. the atmosphere was friendly and warm I would definitely stop again at this restaurant.

In town for weekend wedding. After eating elsewhere, we stopped in for few drinks. Stayed in pub which was very nice, New England, colonial feel. The restaurant looked even more appealing selection was excellent and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely return for a meal.

Comfortable pub with friendly service and good food. We were there for the Monday burgers and brew night--a bargain at less than $10. We loved the traditional atmosphere.
