Finally a Success

For years after its former glory, this restaurant went from bad to worse with dishes that insulted the palate. In the past two months, I have returned four times and had three excellent dinners and a very nice turkey burger. The star is the chicken that is prepared in a blackberry brandy and served... read more

Three out of four of us ordered Surf and Turf with Lobster. Two orders of the Lobster were good, but not great. One was spoiled and tasted like ammonia. The waitress removed the entire spoiled Lobster dish and offered another one which was not wanted. Nothing was taken off the bill, they didn't even offer to pay for dessert or... More

My husband and I had lunch with another couple today at the '6 House Pub and chose to eat in the bar side. I had a burger that was so delicious. I had swiss cheese and fried onions on it - it was wonderful. The buns they use with soft and delicious. The meat was angus - the best burger... More

The thing I most had my eyes on in the menu was out of stock, of course. So, we got one of the supper salads. It was absolutely delicious but was called the Grilled Plum, Granny Smith Apple and Gorgonzola and strangely contained no grilled plums. We ordered a dessert to go and it was still frozen and with no... More

Went to the '6 House Pub for Christmas dinner. The chicken soup had a huge piece of chicken skin floating in the greasy bowl. The "prime rib" was one-third huge chunks of fat. The "peppermint gelato" was mint chocolate chip ice cream. Let's see: the mashed potatoes were cold, too. My partner's ham felt like it had been carved fresh... More

We decided to go to 6 house after seeing some good specials online that supposedly were on. When we arrived our waiter not only said that the specials were wrong and not up at this point. He failed to tell us any other specials. The service speed was average at best and the food was perfectly average. Nothing fancy.

Another recommendation from the hotel concierge, we went to dinner here after arriving in town for the weekend. Place was clean, food was great and served hot, and waitress was excellent. My wife had the fish and chips and I had the wild mushroom ravioli. Both meals were excellent.

This place is charming. The meals are fairly priced and well done. I had Scallops and my wife ordered grilled salmon both of which were great. Service was professional.

The '6 House Pub is a large restaurant serving traditional dishes. The food was fine but not unique or interesting in any way. Tables are separated enough to allow some privacy, but the seats weren't very comfortable. The service was prompt and friendly, and prices were quite reasonable. All in all, I'd rate it as ok but not really worth... More

We were seated at a table that had not been cleaned after the plates had been removed. A booster chair with food in it had also been left in one of the seats. The server, once she finally made an appearance 15 minutes later, got a spray bottle with cleaner and sprayed not only the table, but us as well.... More
