Large menu with many things we'd like to go back to try. Our first meal consisted of lobster martini and crab cakes for apps. Crab cakes were just ok.Lobster was served in a martini glass. Nice presentation and tasty. For dinner we tried the Seafood Fra Diavolo which in truth was not very spicy at all. We also had the... More

We were staying in the 1896 Barnside Suites right next door, and it was lovely to wander round to the '6 House Pub for a beer in the bar and some food. The beers, mostly cask and with about 8 from regional breweries, were excellent and Anthony is a great barman. The restaurant was full or nearly full most evenings,... More

Attached to the rear of the 1896 Barnside Inn, the main entrance feels like your walking into an upscale cafeteria. The real entrance leads to a great bar which is front of a fun library themed restaurant. Menu has a wide selection, and is reasonably priced. The kitchen did a great job preparing the meal, and did a nice job... More

This meal was included in our stay at the 1896 house so my expectations were sorta low. Our apps were tasty but the real treat began with the clam chowder which was amongst the best I've ever tasted. My wife had the artichoke salad that was outstanding! Next came our entrees. Let me begin by saying that I could have... More

This was our first time at this restaurant. The staff were AWESOME and so very friendly. The food was AMAZING...so delicious and good size portions. We were amazed to learn that the Head Chef was only 21 years old! We will be back when in the area.

I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the surf and turf - we were very pleased! Everything was absolutely delicious! From the drinks, to the apps, we were surprisingly delighted and pleased. Our waitress was very nice and did a great job making us feel comfortable and recommending the best dishes on the menu.

I stayed at the 1896 house, and received a discount at the '6 house pub. The food was excellent -- not your average pub food, and the drinks were very good. Staff was friendly, and there was a fire pit outside.

I'm not used to being able to go out to eat (I have a lot of dietary restrictions), but the menu really did have something for everyone - such a nice surprise. Plus it's gorgeous inside; and outside, there's a stone patio with a fire pit - the whole place is very cozy.

We enjoyed the four-course dinner - everything was cooked very well and we did not leave hungry, that's for sure!
