Your College Deli For Good Eats

Stopped for lunch, we had the soup/or chili sandwich deal. We were not disappointed. Plenty to eat here. The sandwich was thick, and the home made soup and chili, hit the spot. Many, many sandwich choices, with amusing names. Will stop again and try other menu items. It might appear a little rough... read more

We were impressed by the vast menu of sandwiches, bagels, soups, beverages. Our order took a little time, (this is a college-town and they were busy in spite of the holiday) but when it arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. We go back again in a heartbeat.

I visit Williamstown about once a month and, if I'm there at lunch time, it always calls for a visit to Pappa Charlie's. Their sandwiches are each named after a celebrity. My favorite is the Stephen Collins -- turkey, sprouts, lettuce, rye, cucumber, tomatoes and Russian dressing. I didn't regret it. The sandwiches are large. The bread fabulous.

We had them make sandwiches up for us as we started our longish road trip back home. I suppose we expected New York quality deli sandwiches. They were okay but, given the price we paid, fell short of expectations. Service was pleasant and it was very quiet on an August morning with no students of Williams staff around.

My wife and I were looking forward to visiting this establishment because we had heard good things about it from friends. Pappa Charlie's does every every type of sandwich that you could possible imagine. It is difficult to choose off of the posted menu over the counter because of all of the great choices. My wife ordered the chicken park... More

This place is cute, famous, and actually makes amazing sandwiches! The board of all the famous people and all the sandwiches is a little overwhelming, but you can't go wrong. This place accepts cash only.

I spent many a dollar at Pappa Charlie's as an intern with Williamstowno Theatre Festival, and long for the day when I return for a show and a sandwich. I'm jealous of ever Williamstown resident and college student who is in regular proximity and can go there as frequently as they like, slowly working their way through the many options... More

Okay so for a small sandwich shop this place packs a punch. I love sandwiches and this is the place to go. I always order the same thing every time and every time it gets better and better. I love how there are pictures of all the people who have been there and how they name that sandwich after them!... More

Sandwich comes on good bread but that's all you get, no chips for about $9.00. The drinks are expensive as well. The soup was uniquely delish. They are pro recycle. It was good but a bit pricey
