Great place to hang out

We spent several pleasant afternoons getting coffee and snacks at Tunnel City Coffee. There is nice seating inside in several different spaces and a couple of places to sit outside, that are covered in case of light rain or strong sun. Coffee good, staff friendly. Relaxing place.

Although the coffee was fine we were taken aback by the lack of service. Counter staff were not helpful and somewhat rude. Perhaps because they are the only game in town?

This hopping coffee shop offers a variety of coffee drinks and a small selection of food. There's a nice outside seating for good weather. The coffee is strong and often burned tasting - not for everyone. Also expensive. There's a changing selection of muffins and scones daily - usually very dry. This is the only coffee shop in town, which... More

Very sorry for your experience. I would have appreciated an opportunity to correct or offer another product of ours. Please note that we are not the only coffee shop in town. If you are unwilling to give us another try, may I suggest trying Spring Street market. They are located in the center of Spring Street and offer Mocha Joes... More

Tunnel City is THE place where people in Williamstown decide to meet each other. They do a great job of preparing their hot and cold drinks. Their pastries are very good, although, now that I am avoiding gluten, there could be more options (I am not allergic, just hypersensitive, so I can eat food prepared in a non gluten free... More

If, out of one hundred visits, you only got the true reviews on 2 or 3 occasions, you might be somewhat incredulous, or blinded by the popularity of this spot. If after hundreds of visits, you still found the coffee excessively bitter, stomach and headache producing, and the prices artificially high, you'd ask yourself why did I put up with... More

Often out of state customers remark that our prices are low. We do offer some pricey locally produced items but that is out of our control other than we may choose not to carry those products. Both my wife, Bar and I are grateful to be living and working in such a beautiful place as the Northern Berkshires. We do... More

Lovely atmosphere for meeting, sipping coffee and conversation. Why only three stars? Pastries and muffins are definitely sub-par. No free wi-fi. When was the last time you were in a coffee shop that didn't offer free wi-fi?

We do offer 1 hour of free wifi a day. It is through Time Warner Cable. Go to TWCWIFI and open your browser. You will be asked to select Time Warner Customer or Guest. Select Guest and sign in with password "springstreet". If you have a Time Warner account you may sign in and use the wifi all you want.... More

Really, really good coffee. Great pastries. Wonderful ambience. And perfect spot to sit outside and people watch on a warm summer morning across from the Farmer's Market. And if you need a cake? You cannot beat those you can get here.

Loved this great coffee shop and neighborhood hangout in the heart of the quaint little town of Williamstown. Highly recommend.

We visited Spring Street on Williamson and came across this coffee place. I must say the coffee frappe i had here was 100 times better than Starbucks. If you are a coffee lover and in the area you must visit this place.

We sipped our exceptional espressos as we people watched in this comfortable, casual, coffee shop. All types seem to come here--a professor and his students having a meeting over coffee, seniors, couples with children, and students. And the prices were reasonable!
