Since becoming Gala in 2006 the restaurant has been reinvented to provide an experience not easily rivaled. Gala boasts an elegant dining room with breathtaking views of it’s adjacent courtyard. The menu, created by Executive Chef Chris Bonnivier, satisfies both the casual and formal diner by offering dishes such as Coq au Vin and Lobster Mac & Cheese in the winter season and Softshell Crab and Grilled Swordfish in the summer.

It was a very crowded night, but the host found a small table for us. The noise level was not good, until the crowd at the bar departed. The food was exquisite, way beyond our expectations. Would definitely go back, just try to go when it wasn't quite so busy.

There were so many things wrong about this restaurant that I find it unbelievable there are as many positive reviews as there are. After the hostess sat me and said my server's name was Tim, ten minutes went by without anyone coming to the table. I signaled her, asked her if she could at least get me a cocktail. Instead... More

Been here once before and it was excellent but this time was not the same experience. Seemed very frazzled in the dining room . Appetizers came out then Entrees came very slow and were very cold and seemed like crusted over . Service very poor would have liked to see a bit more attentive. The one thing the property has going... More

We had told our daughter about the great anniversary dinners we have had at the Gala. So on a recent visit back home when given a choice of where to go she picked the Gala (smart girl she takes after me in that respect, not bragging just saying). We were seated as soon as we arrived and out came Sasha. I... More

This will be the third year in a row that the Mrs and I have returned. It might not sound like much but the only other thing we repeated was our wedding vows (after 25 yrs.). We were quite surprised when we got the same waiter as we had last year. A gentleman by the name of Sasha. Sasha knew... More

Our family celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary at the Gala Steakhouse and Bistro that we all enjoyed. We were a party of eleven; The Library was the venue for our event; this private room was comfortable, well appointed and accommodated our party easily. The requested audio-visual was ready at our arrival. The menu choices were extensive including excellent appetizers, the... More

My fiance & I spent Easter weekend in the Berkshires. Not only did we get an awesome weekend to hike around, Easter brunch at Gala was fabulous! We don't regularly get into fine dining. Its a bit pricey but well worth the amazing service and top notch meals. The wait staff was extremely polite and professional. Meal service was well... More

Our server Liz was very attentive. We both had the fish & chips (ate in the lounge with the fireplace roaring) and both agreed it was some of the BEST we have had. Fish was cooked well, lightly battered, fries cooked well also. If not so far from home, it would be a regular stop!

I went in on a quiet Sunday night and sat at the bar. The bartender, Liz, suggested the smoked wings and boy was she right! Definitely the best non buffalo wings I've ever had. I also had a strip steak cooked perfectly. The service was amazing Liz was very knowledgable about the food and the area as well. (Plus very... More
