I had Ragara Patties as a starter, lightly spiced with Tamarind, as a Main I had the aloo baingan, good flavours of coriander coming through. I shared a malai kofta, this was a lovely rich almond sauce, the vegetable dumplings were flavoursome but could have been lighter. I tried the bullet naan, and whilst I was disappointed that it lacked... More

Great Indian meal - plenty of flavor and spice (reminiscent of Indian restaurants in England). Also, great selection of vegetarian options. Thoroughly recommend.

We are locals. We love Indian food. We are SO THANKFUL that Tyrone and Steve have provided us with such a delicious Indian food option in town.

My wife and I dined on the Chef Special "lamb chops" and Lamb Korma tonight in this delightful Mumbai themed family restaurant. The lamb was extraordinarily tender following 24 hours plus of marinating with spices. Although the lamb with the Korma was not as tender as the lamb chops, the Korma sauce was great. The special surprise was gratis rice... More

Unusual to find an Indian restaurant in the USA which serves food that we love in the UK. Nice to find papads, bhajis, jalfrezi on the menu. Very tasty and reasonably-priced.

The food was excellent and the staff was attentive. Prices for dinner was reasonable. I would definitely eat here again.

So I eat curry at home in the Uk quite often and I was considerable more than pleasantly surprised when I ate at the Spice Root. It was truly brilliant. I can wholeheartedly recommend the 'bullet naan' a first for me. Not so sure about the poppadums, different to my normal but the jalfrezi and all the other curries were... More

If you are used to authentic, high quality Indian food, this won't equal the best places in the Berkshires but is an okay place for pre-theater dining in Williamstown. All of the dishes were fine but nothing special.

Went for lunch with five other family members based on the reviews . Other than us, there were four or five customers. We asked for buffet so we could choose what we liked and we had only 45 minutes for lunch. Someone mentioned the buffet was $9. Not true. It was $11/person which I found out when I got the... More

We like Indian food and this was good and typical, but not great. The chicken dishes were excellent, but there were no beef or fish choices. We would go there again.
