When you want a good breakfast in a simple old fashioned setting

This is the place....a few booths and tables, a counter...and tons of breakfast and lunch options. Homemade , good prices and honest food, excellent service and overall we were very pleased. Definitely recommend.

Just what you want for a real salt of the earth breakfast and Waffle House scares you away. Only major fights recently in our household flow from your reviewer insisting on this property and my spouse insisting on something better - impossible in Williamstown - hardly a restaurant mecca.

Not fancy, rather a relaxed atmosphere with good tasting food. The wait staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Want something super fancy? Don't go here. But if you're a fan of real diner food, served up by a friendly staff, this is your spot. I ordered the "Amy's Favorite" -- poached eggs with spinch and hollaindaise over a grilled English muffin -- which was very tasty. I LOVE a place that serves breakfast all day!

what we were looking for--clean, reliable diner food, served quickly with attentive wait staff. food wasnt exciting but was fine. coffee was terrific and they accomodated special orders well! (ie milk for the coffee and runny yolks for the benedict). hollandaise sauce was excellent but spinach tasted frozen(not a lot of flavor). price was great and we will be back.

The Chef's Hat is just what you'd expect in a roadside diner. Quick, simple food in hearty portions, free refills on coffee and a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Decent prices and a large local crowd. We love coming here at least a couple of times a month for breakfast.

Stopped for breakfast. Service was very attentive and fast. Had hash and eggs, homemade corned beef hash not from can. Wife had omelette enjoyed hers also. Everything was very tasty. Interesting assortment of muffins including turnip, I didn't try can't comment. I'd definitely come here again

My boyfriend and my first visit to this place was phenomenal! I got the eggs benedict which was fantastic. I am a very picky eater when it comes to dishes like eggs benedict but they got it just right! My boyfriend got hash and eggs which was also delicious! Will definitely be repeated customers! And the staff was very friendly... More

A quirky bright yellow place just over the bridge past the Cozy Corner on Route 7 North, this quasi-diner is always full of locals, welcomed by chef and staff as though all are family. This is another place that sustained me when marooned in Williamstown two years ago during and after Hurricane Sandy. Warmth of welcome then was even more... More
