We had dinner here before the theater. They cater to the theater crowd, so make a reservation. Ours was for 5:00 and they were pretty packed by 5:30. Service was good and they get you out in plenty of time to make it to your show. The ambiance is very nice. The food was excellent. I could eat there every... More

What a shame that such wonderful food and beer was served by an aloof and disinterested member of their staff. In 40 years of dining out we had the worst waitress in our entire memory. It was nearly impossible to establish eye contact. She never smiled. We engaged her in a brief conversation and her reply was "I really don't... More

Dinner is usually very good and after-theatre snacks can be as much as a full-meal or as little as one chooses.

Hubby and I were at the renovated Clark Institute, where the cafes on premises were too busy and running out of fare on a busy July afternoon. We left, intending to return to the museum (which we did). We happened on Hops and Vines. We shared a sandwich and salad, and had some nice wine by the glass. The service... More

My wife and I shared a lovely lunch in the garden, while everyone else was inside—go figure! I had the tuna salad. She had the beet salad. And we both enjoyed delicious local beers. Even passed the time reading books from the lobby. Service was friendly and efficient and we would definitely go back.

The restaurant was attractive and for a slow day in Williamstown, seemed pretty busy. The bar was modern, comfortable and there is a fantastic bartender. The food, for the most part was excellent. We found a bad oyster (PEI) but I'm pretty sure the kitchen can't control that (even though it put us off eating the rest). I didn't care... More

Here visiting for the day, we went with locals for a light supper and had a great time. Attentive and knowledgable staff, we enjoyed well presented drinks and chose from the bar menu. 5 steak frites were tasty, well cooked and nicely accompanied by salad or fries..... I had the burger- excellent choice- a parmesian crisp on the burger was... More

Three friends and I went to an event here and decided to meet early for dinner, we were the ONLY table there , waiting over 20 mins for our first round of drinks and our server gave us a count down of how long we had till our event started, the girl who delivered our food did not smile once... Never could feel comfortable in this place, have tried it three times now... and it is in my hometown. Kind of an elitist vibe... not my scene, but if you are into that then it could be for you. It just feels like everyone in the place is trying to pretend they are not in a rural environment... like there... More

Hops & Vines was recommended to us by locals. We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We loved everything about this place. The food was spectacular, the drinks were fabulous and we would be here often if we lived in the area. Staff was friendly and attentive. We asked for recommendations on drinks and food and were greatly pleased with... More
