Description: The Purple Pub has been the place to gather in Williamstown since 1973, serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Whether you're looking for traditional pub food or delicious entrees, we have you covered. Patrons can drink and dine at the large mahogany bar or in the comfort of the semi-private dining room. Come watch the game on one of our large screen televisions or enjoy a romantic dinner with someone special. Don't forget to try one of our 14 draft beers (we have bottled beer too), served in a frosted glass.

Recently had a chance to visit the Purple Pub on an adult weekend getaway! Very cute place inside. Clean, friendly staff. I ordered the southwestern chili, came with nachos on the side. Fairly priced at $4.95 for a bowl. Nice portion, filling, tasty, turkey meat, which I liked. Happened to peak at other orders coming out of the kitchen. The... More

Stopped for a beer and snack. Almost impossible to get service. Bartender aggravated when I asked to pay with a credit card. She had to go to the kitchen? By the way it was about 1/3 full.

Party of eight had not problem with our order, quickly served. Great selection of burgers and other pub fare. A little odd on the beer menu - handwritten - but we got through it and everyone enjoyed a pleasant time outside. Very friendly service. Nice afternoon lunch.

As we drove around Williamstown, and followed along Spring Street; we were intrigued by the name on the beautiful brick building tucked away on a lovely courtyard. The Purple Pub. So very glad we stopped by, and enjoyed an afternoon lunch. Though there is ample dining inside this pub, we chose to eat outside on the courtyard under an umbrella... More

Visiting the area, we were wandering around looking for a place for lunch. The Purple Pub looked interesting, and we went in. The waitress was charming, with a big smile, and very helpful. She truly seemed to enjoy her work, and certainly helped us enjoy lunch. The NE clam soup was terrific, as were the burgers. We both enjoyed the... More

We popped in on the off chance as looked nice from the outside. Although 4 large televisions on they were silent and did not take away the atmosphere of dinning. Food was quick, hot and decent. Just what was needed after a long day. Can see very much a local pub with good atmosphere.

There has been a Purple Pub on Spring Street for decades -- Williams students have enjoyed stopping there and Williams alumni look forward to meeting up with old friends over a draft or a glass of wine when they are in town. The first Pub is gone but the newly reincarnated Pub is even better -- it is bright and... More

This is a convenient place to meet people and chat into the night. The drinks are fine. The food is okay -- nothing special. There are large screen TVs for those who want to catch the game -- whatever it might be. I've been here a dozen or so times and have always managed a good conversation with someone interesting... Nice variety of sandwiches and salads, plus good selection of wine and beer (IPA). Like the outdoor seating as it was a nice day and the service was very good also.

Williamstown is an odd town. Where most downtowns are on main street. Williamstown's shopping and pub crawling seems to be on a side street. WE found this after a visit to the Clark Museum. Outdoor seating looked nice, but peopl were playing cornhole toss near th table we could have taken. Um... no thanks, we'll eat in. Nice table looking... More
