A wonderful old style New England restaurant. The food is fabulous. You can get the old-time favorites as well as new & creative entrees. All plentiful & delicious! The staff is very friendly & attentive. One of my all time favs!

Been a few times and was back there last night. Its a unique experience in today's culinary landscape; A soup to nuts dining experience that covers bread, salad, a small app/soup and meal w dessert. The food is always good with a leaning towards red meat /seafood. The scallops / bacon app that we added to the meal (a la... More

This place doesn't merit good reviews. It's simply a dated throw back type place with a menu that offers foods seriously out of date. Lots of creamy saucy stuff. I agree with the review that says the food tastes like it came out of a can. No crisp fresh veggies there, that's for sure. The place was packed when we... More

Looking for a restaurant in the Berkshires but not in Northampton. We tried The Whately Inn. The food was all frozen or canned. My appetizer, mushrooms greque, were actually marinated mushrooms out of a jar. The vegetable side of broccoli was actually frozen from a bag. It was a dark green and mushy. Not fresh. My stuffed flounder crabmeat stuffing... More

We went with some friends and our daughter to this very nice restaurant in Whately. Not only was the food outstanding, but our server Dan was extremely, efficient, polite and helpful. We all enjoyed our meals very much. The food ordered tonight was Capon Cordon Blu, Stuffed Filet of Sole and Roast Duck. With the appetizer, salad, entre, drink and... More

You can't go wrong with the Whately Inn for a nice dinner out on the town. Our favorite appetizer is the bacon wrapped scallops on a bed of mustard rice. There is a large variety of entrees to pick from, and we have enjoyed their seafood dishes the best.

On a recent visit back to MA, my Dad and I went out to diner at a favorite restaurant of his, the Whately Inn. We made reservations (mid-week, it wasn't necessary). It is a classic old New England building with a great history. (Ask the locals about what used to be here) The ceiling holds rough hewn beams and the... More

I wanted to love this place. It's super close to where I live, I could go eat right after work and not feel over dressed. I had been 2 years ago and was dissapointed but I really wanted to give it another try because it's so close and sounds so excellent. We had called to make sure they would be... More

Happened to be in the area and decided to try the place after my wife’s cousins told us they eat here at least once a week (they are local to the area, we are not). We were seated promptly, but it went downhill from there. No one waited on us. We thought, let’s see if someone picks us up. After... More

Went to the Whatley Inn with friends for a Sunday night dinner. The all-inclusive deal was a nice touch. The food was good, nothing special. Salad as very fresh and stuffed shrimp above average. Service was another matter. Jenn was pleasant but we didn't see much of her. Didn't check back after serving us and a 15 minute wait for... More
