Good for a late lunch on a Saturday. No appetizer or drinks which appeared to turn off our server. Very good fish and Chips and fried scallops. Waitress less than attentive, until check paying time. Great waterside view at our table. Still would go back.

We stopped in to check out this restaurant on the way home from Horseneck Beach and we found a great spot! I love the outdoor bar area, on the wharf and a floating dock area with plenty of seating on the water. The seating on the dock was fairly full on an early Saturday evening. There is a raw bar... I think the Back Eddy is a very classy and fun place to eat right on the water. The food is local and very farm to table. Lots of top notch local beers as well. It is a bit pricey but the food is good. My only complaint is the ambient noise factor. Would definitely return.

Have eaten there numerous times. Great view, service was great, great menu options, love the hustle bustle but...... the food is always disappointing. This time I had to write in the hopes this great spot will change. Greasy fish and chips, underseasoned braised fish, tasteless bbq, tasteless coleslaw etc. Please, just get your cooking and seasoning right! I hope it's... More

Every summer our family visits this restaurant at least once for the food, views and great location. The food is always consistent as well as the service. It has become a fun summertime ritual for a group of us to go and it never really disappoints. Obviously the seafood is great and even though the dishes are creative the menu... More

The best seafood we had in Westport, a lovely water view and good service, but the place is so noisy it is hard to talk to people at your table. An oddity: even though there were empty tables when we arrived, we were sent to the bar for 20 minutes. Perhaps this is a strategy to sell more alcohol? Would... More

This restaurant is a nice place.. But not if your looking for a quiet laid back or romantic experience.. The views are beautiful and I guess that is what you are paying for.. The food was good but the portion was not proportionate to the price.. The service was good as well.. Would I go back..?? Maybe but probably not..

The Back Eddy is a fave amongst the locals, but I hate it. It is so overpriced to make it laughable and the noise level is insane. Yes, the view is nice and being right on the water is wonderful. But, you wont catch me there again.

We went after a day on Horseneck Beach. Waited a bit for table on great dock area with drinks and live music. We enjoyed it so much were almost disappointed when our table was ready so soon! Right on water and interior really pretty. I had fantastic mussels and salad. Really love this place. We shared homemade chocolate chip cookies... More

Kept to the local options - chowder (plenty of clams and flavor), fish & chips, salted cod salad, crispy bluefish (delicious). All of our orders were kept simple and we enjoyed a great dinner. Caesar salad left much to be desired with the romaine a tad tired. But that's the only downside for an enjoyable evening with a classic sunset... More
