Great food!

The food was AMAZING!!! The only reason for not giving this a 5-star review was because of the service. While quite fast, the waitress didn't seem to know the menu very well and couldn't answer all our questions convincingly.

I'm spoiled to know the owners of one of Sarasota's best restaurants, Mi Pueblo, so I'm also biased about Mexican food, but now I'm confused because this place was AWESOME! We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress and waiter were very good. The atmosphere was charming, like a place one might find in a seaside Mexican town. It wasn't... More

We started out with a appetizer called taquitos. Very delicious..came with sour cream and guacomole. I got the Acapulco Burrito...very good! She got the chimichanga. Came with rice and beans...I tasted it and everything was excellent. Definitely a return trip in the future.

We visited late afternoon/early evening - not a busy time of day. Food was boring and disappointing. No flavor, no spice. Wait staff not attentive. Doesn't seem they assign one person to each table they all just float around so the person that took our order didn't deliver it and a third person came by at some point to see... More

First off I'm a pretty easy going person..I pull into the parking lot at noon not one car there..I should have known .. Other people slowly came through.. Food had no flavor to it very bland. Not like the other Acapulcos I've been to. Iserver was quiet type . just disappointed plus the dead bug in the windowsill didn't make... More

Went here tonight. We wanted to sit at the bar but it was small and completely full. We had to sit at a table to have a couple beers. Got the cheese dip because we felt like we needed to order something to sit at a table. It was OK but not the experience we were looking for.

We visited on a dreary, wet and cold day in June so it was not crowded when my husband and I went in for dinner. I ordered the Pescado Veracruz and he ordered the Camarones a la Mexicana. We had both looked forward to trying the food here and it did not disappoint. The only thing I would have preferred... More

Believe it or not, we've "seafooded" out. After six days on the Cape we just wanted something different and Acapulcos fit the bill. We weren't very hungry so we split three pork carnitas tacos. The tacos were excellent and accompanied by great rice and beans. We also loved the chips and salsa..especially with all the cilantro in the salsa. Good... More

I always like trying a different Mexican Restaurant. At Acapulcos I ordered my standard fare- one regular frozen Margareta and the Chile Relleno Dinner. This place did well on both! The Margareta did not disappoint with a generous portion of tequila. The Chile Relleno, 2 battered and fried Poblano peppers stuffed with cheese and a generous portion of rice and... More
