Don't eat at Captain Parker's on Cape Cod unless you are into paying way too much for low quality food prepared by hacks. Eat anywhere but this place. Staff was clearly annoyed that they had to serve us. Looking for fresh seafood? Don't trust the server and look somewhere else. Looking for a 20oz beer? Better bring your measuring cup.... more

award winning chowder once featured on "Jeopardy". Friendly service and great place to eat out with your family. more

There was a lot of hype concerning this restaurant, so we had high expectations, though they were not met in the least. I was interested to try their chowder, as both Cooke's Seafood and Captain Parkers claim to have the best chowder. After having the Cooke's Seafood chowder, Captain Parkers was a joke. The food overall, including the chowder, was... more

This restaurant advertises non stop on the radio during the spring and summer, claiming they are the best seafood place on the Cape. They have won best chowder several years in a row, but I don't know who gave them such a title, because it's the worst place I've ever eaten. The food was extremely salty, and the chowder was... more

Definitely the best "chowdah" I've ever eaten---anywhere! Fantastic bar, great atmosphere! I blended right in with the locals, until I opened my Chicago mouth. They were shocked to hear me say stuff like, "Bar Harbor", and "Chowder", and "Yarmouth" (not "chow-dah", "Bah Hah-buh", and "Yah-muth"). Oh well, so no one's perfect---also showed my local ignorance when I didn't know what... more

We went to this popular restaurant on a Sunday night because of it's good word-of mouth reputation. Since it is not a large restaurant we had to wait outside about 40 minutes to be seated. The menu had a typical selection of beef, chicken and seafood but we were surprised to see that , in spite of the high end... more

During our recent two night stay we ate at Captain Parker's one evening and later wished we had returned again. While there was a forty minute wait even though we got there pretty early, it wasn't really that bad a wait. We loved the chowder and the seafood was absolutely fresh and well prepared. We will be back during future... more

I lived for years in Yarmouthport and always look forward to coming home and especially to the Pub. In recent years I think the quality of the "chowdah" has decreased and has too much thick base and not enough clams. However, I ALWAYS head for what I think are the best fried clams on the Cape. Get there early or... more

The chowder is award winning (Cape Chowder Hall of Fame). It is the best I have ever had. There is always a crowd, and you will have to wait a bit especially in the summer. They have great seafood and it is reasonable prices. more

For my wife and I Captain Parkers is a must on our annual visit to the Cape. Real Cape seafood and the New England Clam Chowder is the best. We'll visit the Captain again this fall. more
