pleasant dining

My wife and I had a pleasant dinner. We decided to dine light. The clam chowder was chock full of clams, not potatoes, and was the best I have had. We also had a good salad. The service was friendly but a tad slow.

All I have to say is clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, and broiled seafood platter. Food is great. Quick service, and the beer is ice cold. Nothing better after 18 holes of golf. Don't change a thing. 17 years in a row. Next year will be 18. Thanks guys!!!!

My wife and I went here with friends during a recent visit to the Cape. Captain Parker's came recommended to them. The location is nice - it is set along a small river and you get a better view than many of the restaurants along Rt. 28. The collective feedback on the meal was mixed. The best dish was the... just ok. I order Lobster salad and it was just ok--tasted like out of a can. I have eaten lobster salad a lot and this place would not hold a candle to most of the places I have been to. Clam chowder is supposed to have won awards--yuck--too thick and not all that exciting tasting. Ate with 4 others and... More

A very popular place judging by the perpetually full parking lot and wait times of more than 30 minutes. Pretty typical NE family-style (big open room with many tables) seating. The quality of the seafood we ordered was quite good, although at "fine dining" prices. And I have had better clam chowder, although there's is pretty good. The shrimp were... More

I went with my 10 year old son for a chowder lunch and by the end of the meal I had the distinct feeling that we weren't welcome as there were no other kids in the place. Everyone around us had their meals delivered and we were kept waiting... very odd. My family has been frequenting the best restaurants on... More

I went on a golf outing with a bunch of buddies and ate at Capt Parker's for an early dinner. There were about 12 of us and we all mostly had a fish dish. Every meal was excellent. Awesome clam chowder and haddock. One guy had the stir fry and loved it. Service is excellent and the beer is ice... More

stopped in because of the reputation for the best Chowder. Chowder was ok.. Food was typical fried seafood, but not bad. Decor is a bit dated. Staff was awesome, great server and awesome bartender Mike .

We went to Yarmouth Ma in April 2015. We wanted to try a different place and there were a lot of cars at Captain Parker's Pub so we thought it might be good. It was horrible. They seat you side by side other couples and you feel like you are eating with them. The food was overpriced and not very... More

Known for their clam chowder - it was delicious...more flavorful than some of the other standard chowders. Brought our 2 toddlers with us and they were very accommodating. Everyone was very friendly - the workers and the customers. We were seated in a very comfortable booth within 20 minutes of being added to the wait list. Ordered the lobster salad... More
