The Yarmouth House is "one of the best" restaurants anywhere. The atmosphere, the service, the drinks, the food....it can't be beat. The menu changes sporadically and, for the past couple of years, we've enjoyed the Garlic Mussels Over Linguine after a perfectly prepared Caesar salad. We enjoy the main dining room in front of the windows, always request seating there,... More

This restaurant had some good reviews here for its fish and seafood, so we decided to give it a try. The hostess greeted us and we were brought to our table immediately. The decor is upscale, and it's focus point is a charming Mill Wheel churning with water by the front window. Our server took our drinks promptly, and upon... More

I just cannot explain how fantastic this establishment is, you really have to experience it yourself. I had the seafood bisque which was out of this world good. For an entree I ordered the broiled scallops and they were hands down the best scallops I have ever had in my life. They were a good size and done to perfection.... More

4 of us visited the yarmouth house on a Tuesday evening. The hostess was not the warmest! Our waiter was very good and attentive! We sat by the waterfall next to the windows. Very comfortable. The drinks were somewhat expensive. The meals were good although I got sick during the night with vomiting and the sweats after eating baked stuffed... More

I and my family vacation every summer on the Cape, and one of our highlights is visiting the Yarmouth House for dinner. This place is consistently excellent, both the service and the quality of the food. This year, my daughter and I both got the Chicken Parmesan, which is a huge, thick chicken breast coated with panko bread crumbs (which... More

We had the lobster, and it was perfect. Our wine was one we don't typically find in a restaurant (Nobilo, New Zealand) and it was cold, cold...read that as perfect to us. It was our last evening, after a week, on the Cape, and we definitely chose the right place to end a wonderful week.

We arrived on a rainy night around 530pm and had the most wonderful service, food, and the atmosphere was incredible. The owner even made an appearance at our table. Our server Tim was very attentive to our needs and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He made our dining experience memorable. In addition to Tim, the chef who prepared our... More

My family and I tried a variety of dishes, the lobster ravioli was delicious, the clam chowder was worth the visit and the atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable. Definitely a place to consider while visiting the Cape.

Despite the negative reviews about the hostess and wait staff, my husband and I decided to take a chance and eat here anyway. Boy are we glad we did! Right from the start the hostess was friendly and sat us quickly, even stopping to think before placing us at an indoor table, she instead decided on a better table and... More

Very good food at a more than reasonable price. Check out the early bird specials before 6:00 PM they all include a free desert. Turkey dinner and prime rib were both very good. Sit near the old fashioned grist mill. Enjoy!
