Good German food

Service was very good and the wine was wonderful. Our appetizers: NE clam chowder and potato pancake were tasteless, and left us worried about our entrees. The sauerbraten, spaetzle and red cabbage was SO good! The Jaeger schnitzle was also very good. No room for dessert.

We went here with my 4yr old son, 13 yr old daughter... knowing nothing about German food. We kind of made our own family style meal. Naturally there was stuff we liked...and not so much. However overall it was great. The atmosphere alone was spectacular. We had a fantastic time. The bill was not that bad considering we had 2... More

We were traveling through the area and stopped in about 5:30 on Friday evening. A reservation was not needed at that time. The old world décor was very appealing. The menu was diverse with many non German offerings. We began with drinks with the cheese and crackers. We began with the fried cheese, but we do prefer a different mustard.... More

The main dining room is bright, clean, attractive, large but intimate as the tables are spaced well. There is no doubt that the decor is reminescent of Germany. Steins line the room on a high shelf. The menu features many traditional German entres with other choices for those who prefer a more American cousine. It appears that the restuarant is making... More

My husband and I went to the Hofbräuhaus for our anniversary. We have a sentimental attachment to the restaurant because we celebrated there on our wedding day ten years ago. The service was very good. The hostess I dealt with to make the reservation and the waiter were very attentive. Although this is a German restaurant, they also claim to... More

Attended the Easter Brunch Buffet last Sunday. We all agreed the food selection was great and very good. Hofbrauhaus is one of my favorite restaurants and did not fail to exceed my expectations. I love the German atmosphere, very cozy. A little on the expensive side but would recommend this restaurant.

Today 16 members of our family dined at the Hofbrauhaus for Easter brunch. The food was good. There was a lot to choose from. The décor is nice to look at. The wait staff was great. I wish I could remember our waiter's name. He was kind and attentive. I would go back there to have dinner some time.

One of my favorite places to unwind after work. Great food (even their limited bar menu has some nice options). The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Great place!

Lots of authentic Germann meals including game meat. Bes weiner schnitzel around. They serve it with a plum sauce to die for. Their house dressing is the best I've ever had. Of course, there's plenty of choices of German beers and wines. Save some room, though. Wait til you see the dessert cart!

Read the title. Great Bavarian beer selection and attentive waitstaff. The atmosphere is seemingly authentic and the bar area is lively. Now the food....disappointing. If you do choose to eat here the sausages are the way to go. They have multiple entree platters which offer an oversized tasting menu. Mine was hit and miss. The rabbit and lamb shank were... More
