My husband and I selected Salem Cross Inn for our family on Thanksgiving based on reviews and found it more than rewarding. We started off downstairs in front of a roaring fire roasting some turkeys listening to a gentleman sing and play his guitar. We have some great family photos in front of the fire that may well be this... more

My Family and I decided to go to the Salem Cross Inn for Thanksgiving about 5 years ago and have made it a tradition ever since. We always enjoy the food , service and atmosphere. This year we found is especially pleasing. The Turkey was delectable, my husband had the Sirlion wich was cooked to perfection, as for the rest... more

I took my family of 23 people to Salem's for Thanksgiving Dinner, and I would just like to say that I was impressed with the food, and the service. All though it was very busy, we did not feel neglected, or forgotten about. Our waittress was very efficient and hospitable. The food was excellent and we had a wonderful time.... more

We took our grandson there for Thanksgiving 2008. We stood in line for over 40 minutes even though we had reservations, that were made at least a month in advance. The line was long and two to three people deep, leading right out the front door into the cold autumn air. We pre-ordered the traditional Turkey dinner. The adult meal... more

We stopped at the Salem Cross Inn when we were touring Massachusetts. The present owner gave us a tour of the Inn and told us of its history and explained how her family restored it. We found the tour very interesting and everyone was very welcoming. We then sat down for a three course meal which was absolutely delicious, while... more

...or even if you have to travel a ways. The previous reviews covered everything beautifully, so here are my thoughts. We've had a beer in the tavern, which was cozy, and lunch and dinner in the dining room a few times. Our last visit was in December, when we had lunch. The service was great, very friendly and attentive, and... more

Traditional New England fare; however, the service is bizarre. The last two visits we were kept waiting 15 minutes to be seated when there were many, many empty clean and set tables--the dining room was not even half full. While we waited, we watched the hostess wander around the dining room, filling a couple of water glasses, straighten a couple... more

Salem Cross Inn is one of the first restaurants in the greater Brookfields that comes to mind when you need a special occasion restaurant. The Salem family has occupied a prominent place in this part of the world for almost 50 years and is still going strong! The restaurant occupies a building that was a historic inn on route 9... more

This spot is off the beaten path away from any real downtown or city for that matter. It sits along a rural route 30 minutes outside Worcester in more of a farm community. The place is very nice, looking like a farm attached to an old farm house with fields out back and cows etc. It looks picture perfect for... more

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Salem Cross Inn in October of 2003. It was unbelievable! The food was fantastic (prime rib is the best) and the atmosphere terrific. However, every year since we have returned for our anniversary and most times have been very disappointed. Our first anniversary was great, they brought us a mini cake... more
