Delicious espresso

Had an early morning meeting. Requested an espresso and blueberry muffin. Both were AWESOME! The muffin was dense yet soft & moist. Wished the espresso came in a 'mug' size cup - lol. They have so many varieties of deserts that it makes it difficult to choose. However, you can not go wrong. Enjoy.

I've said this before but this place rivals any dessert place in Boston's North End. It's a feast for the eyes when you walk in. The display case is about 30 feet long (give or take) and includes everything from cookies to cannolis. I also bought a Bailey's Irish Cream cake for a birthday party that was delicious. They also... We stopped in to Gerardo's after lunch at Oli's. We shared a bismark & a slice of triple chocolate cake. Both were very good. The cake was definitely for chocoholics...loved it. The coffee was good. We got a loaf of Italian bread and a slice of Sicilian pizza to try at home. Neither were very good. Kind of bland and... More

Not just an Italian bakery, but those items are the best around - and I've been to the North End Boston

Gerardo's is a bakery that tempts you with its smells the moment that you walk in. They have a huge variety of items in their case but they specialize in Italian goodies of all kinds. They have cakes, canolis, cookies, and petit fours all the way to fresh bread and dipping sauce. They have multiple tables inside so you can... More

I really love some of the desserts! For me those are well worth it. I've been to ths bakery any times and probably will be many more. I love the cannoli dip and riccota squares. The cakes however are pretty hit or miss. We've had the chocolate cannoli cake and it was amazing. Had it again and it was terrible.... More

The owner of Gerardo's verbalized that his wedding cakes were the "cheapest", but this really showed through in the taste. The wedding cake icing tasted similar to artificial whip cream, which was disappointing and strange because their pastries are usually great. Before my meeting with the shop owner, Gerardo, I saw him jokingly raise the back of his hand to... More

I like the dessert I got; double chocolate. I also got some cannoli (great but not excellent). I also bought some cookies and there were delicious. The place it self, is a beautiful place to have a dessert. The only thing I didn't like is some of the employees. Some of those girls think they are in a "Public Market"... More

Great selection, great service, excellent baked goods. Sometimes you will find you will wait in line, but it is worth the wait. The baked goods are excellent and always fresh. The Italian cookies are amazing.

I have been visiting this bakery for several years and everything by far exceeds my expectations! The cannolis' are fantastic and the flour less chocolate cake is a bonus treat for my dear friend who must have gluten free desserts. My favorite is the mile high chocolate cake and the chocolate dipped almond cookies and macaroons!!! Visit Ollie's for dinner... More
