Unimpressive

This used to be one of my favorites. However, my last few visits have been utterly disappointing. The prices have gone up quite a bit and the quality has plummeted. On one encounter, both our dishes (veal roast and chicken picatta) were outrageously salty. We sent them back. (Our server was very... read more

First... I'm not overwhelmed by the decor. Tables are kind of cramped but it wasn't very busy when I was there so, not a problem. Went with a standard since it was my first time dining here... Chicken parm with linguini. I also asked for a side Caesar salad instead of the garden salad. Slight up charge. No biggie. The... More

If you go bring your appetite. The food is very good as is the service, attentive but not intrusive. The potions are huge and the food is very good. The kitchen is visible and clean as is the restaurant. They don't sell alcahol but you can bring your beer or wine. The only reason not a five is not great ambiance... More

Celebrated a combo Anniversary/Birthday/Valentine's Day dinner at Il Forno on 2/18/15. The food and service were both excellent. Our waiter Andrew was personable and knowledgeable about the specials.... Mike M. is a great restaurateur and his efforts show. He's always very attentive to his guests and the food is par excellence....

My husband and I have gone to Il Forno for pizza and for full meals. We love being able to bring our own wine and our meals have been consistently wonderful. Recently I brought a group of 14 Seniors from Briarwood. They loved it! My only comment is that the lunch buffet does not do justice to the dinners usually... More

I have visited and gotten take out several times and have had mixed feelings, except when it comes to their pizza. I have tried a variety of items and I am batting about 25% for satisfaction with my entree meals and 100% with my pizza orders. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to go to and have a sit down... My wife and I visite Il Forno rece ntly. We were excited to try something new, but were left with a "meh" experience and an empty wallet. Don't get me wrong...the food wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. My wife had a veal piccata that lacked flavor, and my pizza was the same. For an Italian joint, we expected much... More

My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. The food was freshly prepared and served hot. Taste was just average for us. Service was pretty average too. There isn't much ambience either. Overall it was OK but don't expect anything special.

I've been to Il Forno many times and some things are really good and some not so much. What I like: the pizza, especially the White Pie with asparagus, Chicken Aglie Olie, beef stew, Focaccia bread with pesto sauce, Chicken Cranberry Walnut salad and their Strawberry Salad with the house Balsamic Vinaigrette, as long as the lettuce is fresh which... Brick-oven pizza attracted us to have lunch here. They have a buffet lunch, but we chose instead to have their "super duper" pizza. Actually I don't like tomato sauce and cannot tolerate peppers, so they made it with their pesto sauce and without peppers. They were happy to make the modifications. The pizza was piled high with artichoke hearts, mushrooms,... More
