Very romantic spot, lots of potential, room for improvement

My husband and I dined at Susu's last October. It was a mixed bag. The good: The dining room is beautifully decorated and the tables are nicely spaced. We were in a cozy spot tucked in the back and it was private and romantic. I loved it! Even the ladies room was elegant with a chandelier... read more

Living in Wellesley I am a frequent customer of Susu bakery. Unfortunately is has really gone down hill. The upholstered chairs are stained and the tables look unkept. The wait staff is rude and Susu herself is as cold as a stone. I have been in twice in the past month and both times the shelves have been empty of... More

This is a treasure to stop in for lunch, or for some tea or a glass of wine and a nibble. There is also a bakery, with delicious things to take home. Enjoy the lovely warm dining room.Sometiems they serve dinner at night.

Met with friends there and we ordered a tea and 2 coffees plus one scone. Drinks took at least 15 minutes to appear and the scone didn't. We didn't ask for it as by the time we thought we would get it it would be too late. Coffees came in paper cups. We asked for china and were told the... More

We are a delicious meal at Susu's. Pâté, cornichons and a lovely mixed greens salad to start, followed by a rich beef bourgeon and ending with lemon cake and heavenly chocolate brownie wedges. The lemon cake was a bit dry but otherwise the meal and the accompanying French Pinot Noir Les Oliviers was delicious. The service was fine, perhaps over... More

Some people would compare the evening meal at SuSu to a bistro in Paris. We would say it goes way beyond that description. Beside the wonderful selection of appetizers, entrees, deserts, and wines, the ambiance make this a memorable experience. Every detail is considered and balanced to the point that the experience is relaxing, comfortable and extremely satisfying. Kudos to... More

SuSu's bakery has been in Wellesley for over 10 years, but just started serving dinner a few weeks ago. They only serve dinner a few nights, so call first. Several of the tables are very romantic, and some look out on "the square". I had one of the best steaks I have ever had, with a red wine reduction, served... More

Several of my girlfriends and I (six total) attended the ‘tea afternoon’ at Susu’s Bakery in Wellesley. Unfortunately this was not the lovely tea afternoon one might expect or what was advertised on their website. For starters, it took a while and several requests to be seated. The customer line at the bakery was a bit busy, however, 30 minutes... More

Wonderful place to go for tea or lunch. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are delicious and all their bake goods are excellent. It's a place to escape from running your errands and take a break.

I have yet to sit down for a "lets play tea party" cuteness lunch. I always go in to grab a couple of their smaller, two bite doughnut meets muffin thingies drenched in butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar.... OH MY!
