It is understandable why this chain has so many locations: the food is tasty, plentiful and cheap. The "home cooking" style can not be called "cuisine" and those looking for low cost/low fat options might not be happy, but this is an easy way to feed a crowd (or make a "single" serving go a long way).

The pizza (and messes and sandwiches and everything at Comella's is great. The atmosphere is cute, but the food takes a long time whether it is for takeout, or to eat at Comella's. but it is worth the wait!

This place is definitely you get what you order. The names on the menu are fun. The food is great. The portions are for two people. Best when it's a cold rainy night. I love their sun dried tomato sauce!

Comella's is well known for the $5 cheese pizza, which seems to be the main draw for families I know buying pizza there for takeout. Great place to buy large quantities of pizza for after-kids-sporting-events. Pizza is okay, but not outstanding.

Famous for their "messes", pans of different kinds of pasta and meat and their good sauce, this place has only one or two tables and it is best to get it "to go". Pizza also, the whole family will enjoy. They have fiercely loyal fans, we think they are okay and a fast food alternative.

I get a chicken parm sandwich from here at least once every other week. Pay the extra dollar and get it on the baguette. You'll thank me. They have large pizzas for $5. That is not a misprint. FIVE dollars! The pasta dishes and the messes are superb as well. A great family-run business.

Comella's is great. My Italian husband loves when we get take-out here on Sundays. It's as good as homemade (and better than MY homemade, I'm not ashamed to admit!). Our favorite is a half tray of Uncle's Mess... the sausage is out of this world! The pizza is pretty good, not the best, but at $5 you can't beat it!... More

Super nice staff, easy-casual atmosphere, quick service and great food. It's that rare combination of well made, non-greasy, really good quality quick food at an mazing price. The kids loved the pizza, the caesar salad was generous and fresh, and everyone was happy. It was our first visit and definitely one of many to come.

We were staying nearby and wanted a quick dinner to take back to our B&B. They made the very best chicken parm we have ever eaten, not in NYC, or anywhere. Crispy, tender with terrific marinara sauce and lots of chees, with lovely tender and crisp rolls. What a treat after a long day on the road. Wish we lived... More
