A rapid fall from very good to poor

For over a decade Papa Razzi has been a family favorite. I remember my youngest, then about 6 and now 21, ordering the carpaccio and having a surprised waitress ask, "Does she know what that is?" We have eaten hundreds of times at Papa Razzi over the years and have many happy family memories there. So when we found ourselves in the area, we went back for old times sake. The parking is limited, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was quite busy. We have always enjoyed the carpaccio - but the... More

Not too bad. Certainly busy and lively. But the food is just pretty ordinary. Nothing special. If you are hungry and in the area, go there. Don't make a special trip. It has the feel of a chain restaurant -- and there indeed are several other Papa Razzi's in the area. Very limited parking. Good front desk. The ravioli was... More

Well I've been going to Pappa's for decades, ever since it opened around 1990 or so I believe. I really like it, the food is Italian and excellent, and the wines as well. The staff deserves superlatives in all areas. They are courteous, efficient, and a real asset. In the Summer we like to dine on their Patio, they keep... More

We shared a wonderful meal with friends who were visiting from Slovakia. Atmosphere, Service and Great Food helped assure a night full of fun and friendship. After enjoying a nice bottle of Pinot Noir, we had soup (Minnestrone) Antipasto and homemade bread and dipping sauce. A large Insulata preceded our entrees which we thoroughly enjoyed. They included Chicken Piccata, Sauteed... More

I now only go there to get bread sticks. I think they are $1 a dozen and totally worth the trip. The staff is super friendly and the scene loud and family friendly.

Had dinner on a recent Friday night using a Living Social or Groupon. Not sure which since my husband bought it. Food was okay. Not enough choices of regular Italian food. Pricy for what it was.

This is the second bad experience I have had in recent months at Papa Razzi in Wellesley. It s too bad, because the food is decent, not great, but decent for a local place. The problem is the servers. in this case both waitresses were bad. One was an veteran server who knew her stuff, but just plain talked too... More

Had an OK lunch. Ordered the chicken I think pomodoro on pasta. The chicken was a little tough and either over cooked or just heated up out of the freezer. It was not moist and soft. The sauce was OK. Would not rush to order again. The person with me had the chicken caesar which looked like a decent portion.... More
