I used to frequent the Maugus restaurant (not by my choice) and every time we'd be met with slow & unfriendly service. Keep an eye on your bill, we've been over charged several times. If you want my honest opinion, just skip it.

We were visiting town and were looking for a good spot to have breakfast; we found it at Maugus. It is a nice little Greek inspired restaurant that serves everything fresh to order. We enjoyed the Greek accents, friendly staff and family atmosphere. The food was pretty good as well. The blueberry pancakes were chock full of blueberries. The coffee... More

The atmosphere is cozy and family oriented. It was a great place to take 3 hungry teenage boys and their dads. It was the day before Christmas that we visited Maugus in Wellesley, MA. The menu is generous and reasonable. The six of us were well satisfied after stuffing ourselves on regular fare of waffles, eggs, and sausages.

Asked for coffee refill three times and over an hour before our breakfasts were delivered. The waitresses were mostly standing around while dirty dishes were left on the table for a longtime.

My boyfriend took me here because it was his favorite place to grab breakfast before work through high school. It was a nice cozy ambiance that when inside that made me think I was up in Wolfboro, NH near lake Winnipesakee. The place was packed though so getting in and out in an hour like we needed was going to... More

Kind of a throwback in style. Wooden booths, pine paneling, a counter with stools. Very large selection with breakfast all day. I had Blueberry pancakes...they were enormous and delicious. OJ was nothing special. My co-diner's French toast was very good and generous. Service was none to fast; but not annoyingly so. People were friendly. A pleasant late breakfast.

We decided to try this restaurant for a quick breakfast while our car was being serviced nearby. Nice menu and a great location right near the intersection Rtes. 16 and 9. It must be popular because there were plenty of people there. However, the service was painfully slow. Our party of 3 ordered two omelets and pancakes; and it took... More

I was going there for twenty years at least three times a month. In a city where there are few restaurants that serve breakfast Maugus is one of the better ones. The food is good but not over the top if you are looking for the real breakfast experience. The owner and his wife still run the restaurant and are... More
