Nice place to meet a friend after work

I met a friend at the resturant on a Monday evening. There were a few people dining and the bar was about three quarters full. I was greeted right away by a smiling polite young woman. I said I was meeting up with a friend; and I was directed to her. The server was very pleasant; knew what the... read more

Pros: open air, bright glassy location. The lobster sandwich was awesome: lemon aioli mayo with prosciutto on thick artesian bread. Chicken piccata was also great. Con: the maui maui was overcooked and dry. Crab cake is not traditional: think crab in a McDonalds hash-brown. Limited dessert menu. Finally the staff had a little attitude: cool and aloof rather than warm... More

I've eaten at The Cottage now on 2 occasions for a business lunch. My boss and I decided to try it out rather than our usual haunts like Papa Razi or CPK. The Cottage was a nice change of pace, casual Nantucket vibe but upscale at the same time. The last time we both had the fish tacos which were... More

It's a good place to grab lunch or dinner, but I wouldn't say it's "foodie" worthy. It's a solid good, but not great.

Nothing special about this restaurant except it is convenient. There are a lot better restaurants in WEllesley.

We had an excellent girlfriend lunch here recently. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the meals were delicious--the chicken salad sandwich in just salad form was yummy and fresh and the Parmesan fries are to die for. Everyone had a salad and they were all fabulous. I love this spot for lunch but do not go for dinner... More

$115 is usually a nice night out for us. At the Cottage it was a shared appetizer, a plate of pasta, a fish meal, 1 martini, a soft drink and a coffee. That would be fine If it was a memorable experience. The Cottage is noisy, and the servers are very pleasant. You may have to remind them to tell... More

We have been to The Cottage in Wellesley on many occasions. We like the menu, the quality of food offerings, consistently good service and ambiance. The Cottage offers something for everyone including vegetarians. We have been there for business lunch, weekend brunch, dinner and even held a surprise 40th anniversary lunch party for close friends.

We frequent the Wellesley location almost weekly. Nearly always eat at the bar so we've come to know Dan, Beth and Sean pretty well. Great people, great service and great food. Good times, thank you all!

I arrived at the restaurant with a friend and we were waiting for another friend to arrive. The waiter came over and we had water while we were waiting for our friend, who showed about 10 minutes later. We then waited almost an entire order before the waiter came back and asked if we needed more time. Why would we... More
