Small in Size, Big in Taste

Small, crowded, about 10-12 tables. The appetizer we wanted figs stiffed with blue cheese was gone. We were given small loaf of piping hot bread sitting in olive oil and peppered with garlic slices. It was fantastic. We chose the pear salad. Excellent with the pears sliced vertically, and... read more

Dined at Grappa a few nights ago and had a very nice experience. Yes it is a small place that is tucked away on a little street behind Target, but it is worth finding! And much easier parking compared to the North End :) Glad I made reservation, there are probably 10-12 tables total in the restaurant, and it was... More

Across from Target, beside auto body shops, chipping paint--the exterior might scare you off. But be brave and step inside. You'll feel far from Target and Watertown in general. You will need a reservation--place is packed, even on week nights. Second visit--both times we've had great carafes of wine, great pasta. Bruschetta heaped with tomatoes. Warm bread drizzled in oil... More

This place is a hidden gem, but certainly a hole in the wall. There are so few tables and such a small space, it's surprising that it's so popular! The service is almost painfully slow, but very friendly. But the food is worth the wait. I went with a moderate sized family party and can't say I tried anything there... More

We had a great time having dinner the other night with some close friends. It was a good thing that the conversation was lively, because the service was glacially slow, almost ten minutes just to get menus and a long wait for our main courses, which came two at a time instead of all together. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer touted... More

We went here based on previous reviews and it was not worth the trip! The service was slow and the food was below average at best. We had the shrimp diablo and clams and fettuccini and was not good to be polite! The sauce was the equivalent of jarred sauce! Would not return!!!

This is my new favorite in Watertown. Ordered fra diavlo and loved it. Good wine, very friendly waitress, nicely decorated room. A gem and a secret in the neighborhood. Competes with Strip T and Porcinis and does well at it.

Only reason we tried this place was because we were given a gift card. GLAD WE DID! The place is very small - but cozy. The food was amazing! We started with the bruschetta which was very good. The night we went they had a fish special that we both tried - out of this world! We were literally scraping... More

Located across from the Watertown Mall, down the Street from the Saab Dealership is a 12 to 15 table Italian Restaurant. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. Had the Fettucine Bolgnese last night. Altho I thought the fettucine was really pappardelle, it was very good. A reliable restaurant with plenty of parking across the street in the target parking lot. Reasonable prices.

A year ago, when we moved to Watertown, Ma., we were told to try this restaurant. Our first and only visit was a disaster. The only good thing we can say it's their bread, which is great. You've got to have it, forget about the appetizer. First of all, the tables are too close together, so this means, you hear... More
