The Best of Watertown

Whenever I am visiting my oldest living friends in Watertown, I insist that we have dinner at least once at NYAJ's in Wtown Square. The reason is simple: you can't beat the quality of the food at still rather moderate prices. I've never had a sub-par or disappointing meal here: NEVER! For a... read more

NYAJ is one of the best-run chains I've ever experienced. (Having said that, I recommend avoiding the Arlington store until they polish up their act.). I have eaten many meals in the Watertown restaurant, starting when they first opened. Their menu is imaginative without being bizarre; their service is consistently friendly and competent, and if something goes wrong, they are... More

Gone there with a large family group including two toddlers. The staff was very accommodating and has dealt very expertly with a time-staggered order (in case you don't know toddlers have their own ideas what to eat and when). The food was good, portions were big - as you'd expect in a diner. The only bone to pick is the... More

Positives: Service was attentive, table came quickly for large group, customer focused to resolve problems when food didn't arrive. Friendliness of staff when serving and solving problems was great. Improve: Ability to get the food out and taste not as good as smaller operation across town - need to get organised when busy. For some reason having tipped significantly another... More

We live across the street and go to Joe's at least once a month. We would love to hate it because we don't usually like chains BUT each time we go we're never disappointed. It's really good food, good portions, great service, good drinks, etc. If there's not a table, there's usually room at the bar although I always make... More

Why wait for a table? The bartenders will make you feel right at home. Food is good here especially the salads and flatbreads, and prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking at public lot behind the restaurant.

Very good food. Had a small issue and Manager handled it professionally. Have never had a bad meal here. Food is very consistent.

Since moving to Watertown, this is our favorite go-to restaurant! Everything on the menu is delicious; the bread is to die for, and the monthly specials are great. You can't go wrong here! The staff is always accommodating, and it's a great place for families, especially ones with young children. There's enough of a din that it blocks out any... More

Went here before seeing Assassins at the New Rep. While the food was tasty, some of our order was not delivered as ordered...we believe that was a language issue with our server. The food itself was quite tasty and delivered hot. We will go back again.

Service was good/food delivery in a timely fashion.Joshua... More
