I am disappointedly giving Ella's just an average rating. I do love the food there but on two separate occasions, we have apparently been invisible to the wait staff. Sat there about 15 minutes without even a "hello I'll be right with you". When he finally did arrive, he never introduced himself though he did apologize for the wait.... We... More

First time we went on the recommendation of a friend. We felt everything was very good. Service was great. Two servers brought each course out. For apps. we had the fryed stuffed zucchini flowers, crab cake, and pate. Entrees were ricotta gnocchi, pan seared scollops, vongole white, which they called something else and Italian seasoned grilled steak. We felt everything... More

Recommended by family, this was a wonderful surprise. The servers were so friendly and knew so much about the menu. Nicest pizza i've had in a long time, and the calamari was incredible! Will definitely be going back next time i pass through!!

Visit Ella's last night. Overwhelmingly disappointed. Place is loud...I don't mind noisy but I couldn't even hear the person next to me. Spotted cobwebs in the corners, trash in ladies bathroom overflowing and asked for a straw and waitress popped ln in my glass with her bare hands. Fried calamari was pale and over salted...so were the fries and salad!... More

We read about it in the Boston Globe and decided to take a ride and try it. It was worth the ride. A little noisy but not bad. Started with great bread with three dips. We shared an order of fried squash flowers stuffed with creamy ricotta. We had chicken bollotone chicken stuffed with sausage pine nuts, and raisins with... More

Booking made for our last night of our family trip to the USA for 6.00pm and it was a good job we did as the restaurant was full by 7.00pm on a Friday night. Nice atmosphere and welcome from reception staff (air con a bit cold for my taste - but not a big issue). Very good service taking our... More

wife and I went sat night for dinner. we had no reservations and the hostess said they were booked up, but we could eat at the bar which we did. Service was great there and the food and drink were delicious. The scallops were huge, tender, and the sauce was amazing; the cod was very fresh and was served with... More

My husband and I can't get enough of this restaurant. Introduced it to friends last night and they're hooked too. Ella's is 35 miles from our home but absolutely worth the drive. The atmosphere is friendly, rustic and comfortable. The food is creative, delicious and consistent with an extensive wine list. This place is a must!

We went to Ella's on a Monday and at 5pm to avoid the crowds. We started with the squash blossoms, crispy, stuffed with cheese, unbelievable! For dinner I had an eggplant pizza and my husband had the veal. The pizza was one of the best I've had in this area, crispy crust and fresh mozzarella. My husband loved the veal,... More

Have now been twice. Both times for a late lunch at the bar. Had the same wonderful bartender each time. She is extremely professional and knows the menu. She was hostessing at the same time and didn't miss a beat. We had octopus, mussels, squash blossoms and a pizza, plus drinks. We were there for awhile and ran up a... More
