If you crave real lamb souvlakia and a good Greek salad to go with it, this is the place. Bare bones counter ordering grilled meats and they even have french fries like patates frites. There is also a sister restaurant in Watertown which seems more authentic and the good news is you don't need to stop at an ATM before... More

My family has been eating at Demos for over 20 years. Literally every single meal has been delicious! We are fans of everything---chicken kabobs, rice (with extra sauce!), greek salads, burgers, omelets. The food is pure comfort food, and whenever someone is sick (they have amazing chicken rice soup), has a new baby, or needs a lift, Demos food does... More

Stick to the lamb dishes. They are VERY good. I've been to this place at least five times during trips to Waltham. The reason is that they are so inexpensive and the food is generally good with some things being awesome. All the lamb dishes are VERY good. I had the Musaka once and I would classify it as "homey"... More

We stopped in this simple order- at-the-counter restaurant for dinner during our vacation. Our expectations weren't real high, but the gyros were good, full of meat that was cooked perfectly. Their sauce was not cucumber-y which pleased me. The chicken soup was bland, but perked up with the help of salt and pepper. It was very busy and appeared to... More

This place needs a major makeover. I enjoy the Greek place much more on Needham street in Newton with its better lighting and better food too. I was in the mood for Greek so stopped for a Gyro and the meat was great but there was little else in the Gyro. Like one small strip of lettuce and one small... More

I have been eating at Demos on and off for the past 10 years when I visit family in the Waltham area. Sometimes it's OK, other times (like our last visit yesterday) it's mediocre. The best thing was my wife's lamb kebabs; the meat was tender and well flavored. My roast lamb was stringy, over cooked, and bland. The meatloaf... More

If you like kabobs they do a good job. Spanikopita and salad is my favorite. Lunch is a good deal. Order then wait for your number to be called then pick up and pay.

My wife and I have been going to Demo's for many years and enjoying dinner there last night with our daughter, son-in-law and 2-year-old granddaughter last night reinforced our positive vibes about this restaurant. We all found the salad to be basic, but fresh and tasty with a wonderful dressing. I like to stuff the salad inside of halves of... More

I am a returning customer after first eating here about 8 years ago. They have a great dinner selection and excellent traditional Greek dishes. They probably make one of the best gyros I ever had! The cost is very affordable and they keep the prices reasonable through the years. I usually eat at the Watertown restaurant, but both are great... More

We have gone several times for take out and every it leaves us disappointed, which is a shame since we live down the street. The lamb kabobs didn't taste like lamb, more like a mystery meat. The salad was drowning in tasteless dressing and was mostly iceberg with a tomato and olive. The feta is the only thing worth going... More
