We have typically eaten at or gotten take out from Tom Can Cook every few weeks as it's just down the street from home. The past few times we've gotten food there, we've had some issues, and thus I'm not as big a fan as the last time I reviewed it. First, I agree with some other reviewers who mention... More

I am shocked to have to write this negative of a review. From being ignored for the first 15 or so minutes to getting food with "chicken" that tasted like soggy paper, this was a miserable experience. Tom Can Cook has a great name, but for us, that was about all that was great about it.

We tried three Thai dishes and all them were good. Tom has a special Pad Thai dish which was delicious. We also had a "make your own" dinner which in our case had shrimp and chicken with basil and spices - excellent. The green curry with chicken dishes was just OK -- could have been spicier. The service was friendly... More

I visited to take out. The menu was huge and took some time to settle on what to order. Chose spring rolls and pork chops. Excellent food! I'll be back again!

This was a "stumble-upon" experience. The owner served us personally and was more than helpful in explaining some of the items on the menu that I questioned. Get the spring rolls but get them "fresh" rather than "fried". A unique experience for me. I also had the Tamarind Duck - a crispy skinned duck with a moist, tender interior. The... More

It would be easy to walk past this reataurant in a street of many, but having a hankering for SE Asian food the menu looked varied enough to service a fussy eater like myself. The chicken spring rolls were absolutley unique. Moist and tasy and the sause that went with it was sweet and flavoursome. Simply delicious! The crispy coated... More

I have only had Thai food a few times, so I am not an expert. BUT, our food was fantastic! We got two dishes, both were about $10. Mango Curry Chicken was perfect blend of sweet and spice flavors. Spicy Chicken with peanuts and Prik Pao Sauce was perfect with just a little spice. Everything was very fresh. Noodles and... More

Awesome noodle bowls. I had the Udon Noodle bowl and it was magnificent. Spice it as hot or mellow as you like.

I was introduced to this restaurant by a local when I was in Waltham, MA on a business trip. I'm not very familiar with Thai food, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was able to customize my food (I didn't want it to be too spicy) and got exactly what I wanted. The food was incredible! Great... More

Average thai restaurant on Moody Street in Waltham. The Somai was not fresh made but previously frozen and warmed up. I could do this at home. The Pad Thai was average.
