Good but not great

A friend of mine decided to have Thai last night. We used to go an excellent Thai place in Vancouver a few years ago called salaThai. We used to enjoy soup ( Tom yum or Tom kha) and spicy drunken noodle with Thai beer. On Nov 5 they did not have any Thai beer. First negative but it... read more

We wanted to try the Pho Spice a few doors down but there were no tables available. We saw a few tables open, so we took a chance on this one without seeing the reviews first. We ordered the streamed shumai for a starter and they were very tasty. For the main course, it was pad Thai and seafood with... More

We almost did not get in because it was relatively empty on a mid- week night. I am glad we did. The food was great. The prices are comparable to its competitors and the main reason why it looks empty is because of its very large dining hall and it is located at the end of Moody Street. The service... More

Erewan is a lovely restaurant - beautiful decor, with interesting carvings everywhere and an indoor fountain garden that is very soothing: a little bit of Thai elegance in New England. It's a pleasantly quiet place, so you can converse without loud music or rowdy customers disturbing you. The food (Thai) is terrific! We've had every possible kind of curry here... More

I went to this restaurant along with a few of my colleagues and Ciients for lunch. The environment is very nice for business discussions. The food was lovely and authentic. We requested not to make hot or spicy and they followed what we said. I would definitely go back to this restaurant and try out their dinner menu when I... More

First time here and likely the last. The highlight was the Yum Tom soup. The apptizers were average at best and the duck with peanut sauce forgetable. My colleague had a beef dish which was OK but not great. A positive was the ice crackling cold Dos Equis Amber! I was surprized by the largeness of the interior and the... More

The restaurant is quite big and well themed, although it never appears to be very busy it does fill up during weekend evenings. The service was very attentive always ensuring we had water and drinks and giving us plenty of time between courses without bothering us. The food was excellent, they have a good range of Thai dishes to choose... More

I've been going to Erawan for over 20 years, and it's consistently been my favorite Thai restaurant. So I was very disappointed with my visit last night. It seems that the owner has changed, and the value has gone way down. The food was still mostly quite good, although some dishes maybe not quite as good as before, but the... More

Our favorite here is the Pad Thai. We have tried other Thai restaurants but kept coming back here although it's almost an hour drive from where we live. Siam Fried Rice is great too and love their spring rolls for appetizers. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had an excellent dinner here recently. We had the Massaman Curry with Duck and loved it!
