BBQ, Beer & Buffalo Burgers

We had not been here for several years but its still a good place for BBQ and Burgers. Really like their bison burgers and BBQ ribs are very good. Selection of draft beers has expanded just like the number of flat screen TVs in the bar area.

A very good meal and the BBq was great. We had 6 people and the service was very good. I gad the bison meal, which was fabulous. Loved the cole slaw, baked beans were also good. A very fun, laid back atmosphere with very nice people and great food. Will be back. 0

The restaurant had a saloon style feel with a Tex/Mex touch. We stopped in for lunch. The smoked Carolina hot wings were fantastic! I also had the pulled chicken quesadilla which blew my mind! By far the best quesadilla I've ever had! Everyone at our table was very pleased with their meals. Highly recommend to stop in for a bite... More

We both had the burrito at the bar. It was huge, delicious and stuffed with chicken. The cole slaw was home made and creamy! Not much ambiance, but that is not what you come here for. Cheap good barbaque is it. We also had the spicy chicken wings which had just the right amount of fire. a definate cheak and... More

I come to Waltham for business a lot and I have grown tired of most of the restaurants on Moody's . So when I feel like a good down to earth diner, I go to bison county. I love their chicken wings made on the bbq. It feels so good not to eat them fried! The ribs are also to... More

What a great find on Moody Street in Waltham. Casual BBQ joint befitting the food choices. Amazing selection of draught and bottled beers with attentive servers and a hands-on owner. Recommend the Cowboys and Indians platter that allows you to combine your choice of slow smoked ribs, brisket, etc., along with authentic sides. My only suggestion is to add a... More

Gotta get fried pickles and sweet potato fries! Very good pulled pork and pulled chicken. Definitely worth the calories! Also some good alcoholic beverages like vodka with blueberries and lemonade. Frequent visitor!

Stopped in for lunch yesterday (3rd or 4th visit in the last couple years) and felt compelled to put up a positive review. This is a great-yet-relatively-unknown spot, particularly if you like craft beer. The bartenders are big beer (and football) enthusiasts and they have a great selection of rotating taps from mainly top-shelf New England brewers with some outliers... More

I've tried the highly touted RedBones, in Somerville, and Blue Ribbon BBQ, in Arlington, and this is my fave. I love the Carolina sauce, and the ribs are very lean. Garlic mashed potatoes are excellent, as are the bbq chicken and the catfish. Small menu, very casual atmosphere, good draft beer selection. This place has consistently delicious food & efficient... Interesting casual atmosphere. Great beer selection. Good service, though a little too speedy (still eating appetizers when entrees brought out). Food was hit or miss. Bison burger, cucumber salad, fried pickles were definite hits. Arizona egg rolls were okay. Turkey tips and garlic mashed potatoes were bland. The corn bread they give you after seating was delicious.
