Just steps from wakefield stop on the commuter rail. Just keep on going to Reading. Not worth the price. They just never got it right. It is a shame Wakefield is a great town. Service was not good food was average price was Boston prices.

Restaurant struggled from the beginning. Good food to a point. Could not generate the clientel. Suffered as a result. Population density not an issue, just marketing and slow ramp up. Restaurant closed and a new Oyster and Steak place has taken over... Jury out on it...

This was our first time and we were not impressed. We went there on a recommendation and also with a dinner Groupon. It's somewhat small and very dark inside. We were seated on the right, near the kitchen entrance. Though our groupon was for appetizer(up to $13)/entree(up to $25)/dessert(up to $8), we had to pay an 'upcharge' for the specials.-(though,... Jag's has a lovely menu for both dinner and brunch. The wines are a nice selection, and the menu is creative. They offer foods you'd be familiar with as well as twists on old favorites and some original ideas. The staff seems to be a little out of touch with the menu, but very nice. It's definitely family-friendly and could... More

Dinners were good, early birds had wonderful choices and change with the season. Friendly staff.

My husband and I tried this place recently and we were pleased. The food was very good. My husband got the mixed grill and the meat was cooked just right and was very tender. I had the lobster ravioli and was very pleased with that dish as well. The dessert wasn't that impressive, it looked better than it tasted. We'll... More

So disappointed with Cafe Jag's. Ate dinner with Mom and my husband, and although the staff was good, the food wasn't that great. My mother ordered rack of lamb. She only got 2 pieces of lamb! Even in upscale restaurants, they serve at least 4-5 chops. And for $25, so very overpriced. Did they think because she's elderly she doesn't... More

Used a groupon here recently. Nice little spot, food was pretty good. Service was good too. Check your bill closely because I was over-charged for a bottle of wine. The wine list clearly said the price, and when the bill came, they charged $9 more for it. They took care of it, but just double check it. Had the calamari... More

4 of us went to Café Jag’s. The table where we were seated had a very bright entry-way light shining on us – we could have used sunglasses. We ordered drinks and 3 of them came back wrong – cosmos and a dirty martini. The waitress said that she knew they were wrong and that she would make it up... More

I visited this little restaurant 3 times, with my husband once, and with friends twice. Each time, the food was very good and prepared to order. The prices were reasonably prices and the quality excellent! We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine each time we visited, and were not dissapointed. There is not a bar, so go if you are... More
