Delicious and nutritious the Scottish bake house is a little hidden treasure. Not in a main area of the island, it's near the tisbury/vineyard haven line. You find a small, cozy, and friendly atmosphere. The inside smells of breakfast and fresh baked pastries. They offer local eggs and gluten free products. Their coffee is perfect for any morning wake up.... More

Based on the reviews we were really looking forward to trying this out and made a special trip right from the ferry. First, there was only one customer ahead of us and two people behind the counter, we were never acknowledged until I asked if we could be helped. Not sure why they are called the Scottish Bakehouse, they did... More

Great food and vibe. I always try to go here when I'm on the island. Try the Brazilian lunch and don't skip the pastries.

Hidden gem! Sandwich loaded with bacon and a scrumptious mayo and homemade bread! No shortcuts! Ended with a brownie like no other! Can't wait to go back tomorrow for the egg sandwich!

Meatloaf sandwich.......not the usual dismal wich but toasted and warm, the meatloaf sliced and crisp on the outside, with garden tomatoes and lettuce........yum. And all for $7.95. Baked goods look terrific but fattening so didn't try them. Orders cooked to order so be prepared to wait a bit. Eat outside on picnic tables under the trees. You can't do better... More

After visiting MV for many years, we finally visited the Scottish Bakehouse and left quite unimpressed. The place was busy but not very well stocked. There were a few of some things but lots of empty spaces both on the baked goods counter and in the coolers. There was lots of bread. Staff behind the counter were not friendly or... More

What would a trip up island be without a stop at the Scottish Bakehouse. Don't let the name fool you. This is much more than a bakehouse!!! We have had delicious farm to table lunches with the freshest ingredients and all cooked to order. Nothing prefab here. The baked goodies are so yummy that we always have to take some... More

This is a great place to spend a lot of money to get quality food. I ordered (one) dinner ...barbeque chicken (way, way , way overdone) kale (very good) and rice. We added a side of beans and one hermit cookie. Can anyone guess what the total was? $ 25.86 !! And it was just enough for one person! I... More

It's no longer Scottish or a bakehouse, but it's a decent cafe in a pretty location by the side of the road. The food is good enough, not spectacular. But they do offer a selection of gluten free products and the vegetables all come from local farms. They serve breakfast all day and serve a decent, filling omlet. The coffee... More
