Best fish take out

The 'to go' place for take out fish. We added corn and fresh tomatoes to the delicious lobster and had a feast at the house we'd rented.

Lots of fresh Island fish selections, plus some special items like great quahog chowder and bluefish pate, in a shop that's run by the third generation of their family. Just the kind of shop you want to find.

This is a very good place for take out lunch or dinner. Fish and Chips, chicken dinner, Obama Burger, excellent! They were closed for a while, glad they're back and cooking again. Highly recommend . Food always prepared right in front of you, tasty, hot and fresh!! Great place on the Island.

Nothing fancy but quick friendly service for lunch. Heavy on fresh seafood. Sandwiches, baskets, etc. Very tasty. Eat outside or take it away. Also has a beautiful selection of fillets of all sorts available for purchase.

John fish market is located a little bit out of town in vineyard haven. It is vineyard havens best kept secret! It has fresh caught seafood sold out of the fish market if your looking to do some homemade cooking at home. The snack bar side has fresh seafood sandwiches, platters, and fries, and if somebody in your group doesn't... More

We had the clam chowder, lobster roll, onion rings, fried shrimp, clams and fish - everything was great. They have a really great selection of seafood.

If you're on the island, this is a great place to call in for a quick fish and chips or seafood takeaway. I had a lovely cod and chips which came with coleslaw, tomato ketchup and tartare sauce, and the blonde had a crab cake with a selection of salads. You can eat at one of the very clean tables... John's has wonderful fresh fish. This year the selection seems especially good & of high quality. Sandy is making more takeout items too--try the new quiche.

My husband and I go to John's every year and get Sandy's Fish & Chips and usually enjoy them. This year the fish was awful, like it was old and refried and the batter tasted funny. We were disappointed this year.
