Adieu to Le Grenier.

Was once one of the Vineyard's finest. Traditional French cuisine. For better or worse, Le Grenier is gone, done, fini. New Italian restaurant coming in its place.

The few times we visited it was always fine dining. Now almost at the end of a long road it was so disappointing that I have chosen not to finish my review. Such a pity especially since we like the service.

Menu substitutions, wine substitutions..... Overcooked, tasteless filets. What a shame. A terrible way to go out after so many years. Their last service will be on Columbus day. Help Jean out and just don't waste your time and money at Le Grenier.

Having come here for years i have never had a bad meal. I am breaking with my habit of not reviewing my home town restaurants because they are about to close. I always have an appetizer and usually get the escargot. Tonight i chose the lobster aioli and was very pleased. Last week i tried the chicken dijonaise for the... More

Each summer my husband and I go to Le Grenier for dinner when we are visiting the island. Unbelievable meal each time. Best french food I have ever tasted. Sadly, this restaurant will be closing in October so visit now before it's gone. Bon Appetite!

Le Grenier is closing after this season. It has run its course from the best gourmet restaurant on the Island to a disappointing throwback in the past few years. We will try to remember a few special occasion meals of haute-Francais cooking a la Julia Child, but we will not forget the limp salads and over-sauced entrees of our more... More

Once again we had a consistently good meal at Le Grenier. I recommend the Steak Au Poivre , Escargot appetizer and Caesar salad. We are sorry about the loss of one of our favorite MV restaurants. Best of luck to the Dupon family.

On a positive note the main entrees were wonderful. I gave it a 4 because the food was apparently sitting for a while and was room temperature by the time it got to our table. Our waitress Susan had us waiting for 20 mins before taking our order to have us wait yet again while she got another table's food... More

This has been a favorite for years, but the impending closing comes a bit too late. Menu items are not stocked, service has slipped, and the charm is gone. Thanks for the run, but time to go.

I ordered a lobster special, which was amazing. My wife order the steak au poivre, and I ate most of it. It was prepared at table side and the cognac, cream, and au jus sauce can't be beat. The peppercorn crust was another critical part of the best meal you can imagine. I've read some less than glowing reviews lately,... More
