From the moment we walked in, we had fantastic service and were seated outside on the deck. My SO had the lobster mac and cheese and I had the swordfish and both were delish. Great wine selection and our server was superb. Although we were both full our server recommended the Budino as a small finale to the meal, so... More

Following the good reviews, the general situation that most of the restaurants are not open that long and only overall limited options in Vineyard Haven, we tried the Blue Canoe. The food was very good, we had various seafood dishes and 2 risottos as well as superb clam starters. Prizes were very reasonable and the service very friendly and welcoming.... More

I wasn't sure where to dine for my birthday, so I did some research on line and chose Blue Canoe. I'm so glad I did!!! The decor is elegant/understated, the location on the harbor can't be beat (watching the sun set and the ferries come and go - heaven). The food was outstanding, and the service was great, too. We'll... More

Our dinners were moderately expensive ($38 and $36) but we enjoyed them. My filet was not as tender as I expected, but my husband raved about his Gassy Cod.Waterfront view and very nice and efficient waiter. We added one side salad, one glass of wine, and two cups of coffee and our tab was slightly over $100.

This particular spot has housed a number of different restaurants through the years. All have shared a wonderful view of the harbor. And all have been a mixed bag when it comes to food. Blue Canoe has some interesting dishes, but preparations vary. I had a striped bass special that was great and properly cooked. My wife had the lobster... More

I found this place to be exactly what I was hoping it would be- a cozy, elegant, seaside restaurant with fresh interesting food, a good selection of wine, and nice service. Well, I got it all. I went back the next evening. If you want to go lighter, try a Knife and Fork Caesar with some seafood. They had a... More

The restaurant is very conveniently located a short walk from the ferry exit in Vineyard Haven. We were pretty hungry getting off of the ferry so we stopped in here for lunch. The atmosphere was nice. We had a table on a balcony right by the water. The food was very good. The lobster roll was very large and tasted... More

We sat outside on the deck which overlooks the marina, a very nice view. However, the food at Blue Canoe was just average and expensive. Our daughter had the steak which was great, my son had the hamburger which was okay, but the fish dishes were a disappointment. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. You can not bring in... More

We enjoyed the sunset and light breeze as we were seated on the rear enclosed porch. The view of the water was so pretty. We had reservations because we were celebrating an anniversary. We had both red and white wine that was recommended by our waitress. Perfect. The portions were huge. I had scallops over risotto. Best meal in a... More

Just loved it. We were celebrating and went at the last minute without a reservation. They tried to accommodate us (very busy in summer season). They put us up on the "roof top". Just beautiful. Best seat on MV, but a bit chilly. If you try for the roof, remember your sweater. When we told them we were chilly, they... More
