We drove to Swampscott specifically eat dinner at this place. I ordered their lobster entree and it was good and serving size is more than enough.I love the place and the crowd here. Probably a good place also to drink beer with friends.

Red Rock Bistro is closed and is being demolished. The old owner passed away and the new owners are tearing down the restaurant and will reopen with a new name and new menu. The Red Rock Bistro was a fine restaurant while it was open. It appears from the article I read today that they will include outdoor roof top... More

This was a very good restaurant when owned/run by Paul Piersal. He passed away last year and the new owners kept some of the same traditions. Now they have closed the restaurant for a complete make-over. It will be interesting to see what emerges from the construction ashes.

Small apps. that are over-priced. Okay Entrees. They canceled live music for awhile but I hear it's back. That is really the best time to go...good ice cream out front.

The views from this restaurant are gorgeous and I have eaten here a few times before and have enjoyed the experience. The previous visit did not generate a sparkling review, but I was determined to give it one more try. We were seated immediately and the dining area was not full. However, within minutes the dining area was full and... More

My boyfriend and I went back to this restaurant after enjoying our first experience. This time we decided to sit by the window to enjoy the view. We started off with a bottle of Prosecco. They had a great selection, and our server Laura made sure our glasses were full all evening. The bread is served with red pepper hummus,... More

Red Rock Bistro in Swampscott has been a restaurant in one form or another for at least 60 years. Prior to its current name, it was "Dale's", known for fried, greasy, but inexpensive seafood and before that, it was "Doane's" for many years. The late Paul Petersiel purchased and renamed the restaurant "Red Rock Bistro" a number of years ago.... More

My girlfriend and I went into the Red Rock Bistro for the first time late last night--we walked in at about 9:45 pm. After a long day at work, we were both looking for a good meal and a strong drink. We decided to sit at a high top near the bar and we were waited on by (I think)... More

overpriced mediocre food with lousy service sums it up perfectly! the new ownership have raised the prices, reduced the quality and forgot about service. The food was not even average, the waitress rarely came by to see if we needed anything and the prices were on the high side. Sure you are sitting outside in a lovely patio setting within... More

red rock has been under new ownership since june and it shows. we were a little reluctant to try it out because of recent terrible reviews, but we are so glad that we went anyhow. at dinner there on september 8, 2013, we enjoyed superb food and excellent service. the waiter was attentive without having to introduce himself (e.g. "my...
